VMF50 & Angel Philia Discussion Thread (nsfw, doll nudity)

I just got my new Angel Philia/Pink Drops Kiara girl today ^_^

Super happy!

does anyone know what size eye they take?

Congrats on Kiara, she's really cute! I never see her around much so please take lots of pics!

The eye size depends on the head sculpt and for hers I would recommend staying around 14mm...it'll depend on the manufacturer of the eyes, too. RAP recommends "16mm" but they will look very alienish.

I don't know if this is on topic for this board but since they're like Dollfie Dreams maybe you guys could help me out?

Welcome to our little corner of the forum!

So (my) on her right hand "peg" is very loose, it comes out very easy and I push it really good back in. The left seems fine.

From your description, it sounds like the wrist joint part (which has the hand on one end and a longish peg that inserts into the forearm on the other) is loose. With the wrist part removed, look into the forearm vinyl and you will see a tube, which the wrist joint peg is supposed to be inserted in. When inserting the wrist joint into the forearm you need to try and make sure the peg goes into this tube. It’s not too hard as there’s not much room in there. The external vinyl may seem a little loose (it may twist a bit) but that is normal. Hold the elbow joint by the sides and pushing the wrist joint in firmly.

If the two parts are engaging properly but the wrist joint part still comes out easily, it might be the parts. This can happen from time to time. Thousands of these internal skeleton parts are made by injection molding and for one reason or another (varied cooling, trimming, etc.) the close tolerances between the inner tube dimension and the exterior peg dimension can be off. A simple remedy is apply one wrap of a thin tape (like Scotch Magic Transparent tape) on the wrist joint peg, to increase it's diameter. This will increase the friction between the two loose parts. Reinsert the wrist peg into the forearm.

ALSO! Her (my) left shin part easily slides side to side, (when in a bent knee position both do it) but when I push the right back in it's very sturdy and doesn't move anymore, but the left still does.

When you say "shin part", I assume you mean the exterior vinyl of the lower leg. Now you don't mention the lower leg falling off (like the wrist joint part discussed above). You just say it is easily moves side to side. I'm guessing the exterior vinyl feels loose between the knee joint and the ankle joint and twists a bit. This looseness is normal. If the "shin bone" part (which is a part of the knee joint) isn’t pushed all the way into the tube on the ankle joint, the shin vinyl can wiggle around, twisting side to side and up and down. During the operation of flexing the knee joint, the back of the knee joint pushes against the back of the shin vinyl. This can push on the shin vinyl, which in turn pushes on the ankle joint. Pushing the ankle joint away from the knee joint makes the ankle to knee distance longer and the shin vinyl will seem loose. Unlike resins which have a big elastic band “constantly pulling them together”, Obitsus rely on friction between the parts to hold them together. The act of bending and twisting a joint frequently is also pulling the parts apart. After moving a body part gently push them together to snug things back up.

If this doesn't help, let me know and we'll get into some serious business.

Thank you so much! I'll be sure to post her on here when i'm allowed to attach pictures ^_^

I was actually looking at the site company and they come default with 12mm, 14 is a little too big, but thank you for the help!

Thanks so much! I'm quite sure the wrist joint can be fixed easily with your help! And i'm sure you're right about the exterior shin piece, cause only the right shin stays in place once pushed together. I may make a video and send you the link when I get home today?

Or if you have a kik or something I can send like a 15 sec video (or facebook)

Loving your girl's angelic look!

Where does one ship to find clothes for them? My girls have c and g busts and I can't clothe them! (Not that they complain)

I'm looking for cute shorts or skirts, places that might have also like tight or stretchy stuff.

I know I can make stuff but it's easier to buy it xD

At Home: Kiyo, Hikaru , Nikko, Komaki, Miho, Kana-chan, Tamakits, Illya, Misa, Deku, Nao, Zana, Ciri, Aki, Alisa, Kana, Yuka, Kiki, Komaki (Oni Mode), Ai, Chili, NagisaDDh03Erica, Miyabi, Jun,  Haruka, Sasha, and Laila

Usually i bought their clothes from azone, sometimes from yaj I just make sure the material of the clothes was stretchy enough to fit my C2 girl and the G girl, most msd clothes I bought fit them nicely or snugly, you mean your girl was on C2 bust right? if its on C1 bust every MSD clothes will fit the body nicely, but yeah its kinda tricky to find clothes for C2 bust and G bust, sometime I bought SD clothes for them and modify the clothes so it will fit, and sometime I commissioned some clothes for them as well.

Yes, she is on th c2 I believe. The bust Misa comes with. I have a lot of SD clothes but I guess it may be the style I got or the fact most of it is boy clothes but the girls seem to have a hard time with wearing the SD stuff save for a couple of gems their boobs magically make size appropriate xD

Are you saying that azone might have something to fit the G bust girl too? Because if do you are my hero! It's been like clothing a DDY on hard mode xD

Azone does have a large bust body they are using for some characters called the AZ02 I believe. It looks to be similar in size and shape to the Type A body from Yamato's first two versions of Sonico. The Type A bust (24cm) isn't quite as big as the Type G (24.7cm), but it is bigger than the C2 and C3 (23cm).

I don't know if they have made any fashion items for the AZ02 yet (besides the initial outfits they come in), but it's probably worth watching their site for releases.

I really should have known better than to ask. . . . Oh god there's SO. MANY. OPTIONS!!!

I'm gonna die. I can get clothes for my girls that will actually fit them and I don't have to use YJA! So done now.

Thank you both so very much! My girls will finally have something that fits! It's time to go mourn my wallet.

image.thumb.jpg.362bd95b514f8b7ad76d3cea8219a681.jpgSup guys! I've also been lurking every now and then and I also enjoy all the updates, info and pic that have been dropped here!

I need some advice as my poor Selene (vmf 50 Yumi) is wounded

Sadly I haven't had much time to play with her but I noticed her right arm keeps slipping off and she has 3 cracks in her armhole joint amature. I have some epoxy but would it be ok to patch her up? If not, can I get a skeletal replacement?

Aww poor her, BUT! Since the chest joint doesnt show on the out side you doesnt need to buy a tan skin chest joint, you just need buy a replacement chest joint from parabox, it wasreallycheap so it wont hurt. Hope she get healed soon.

I noticed her right arm keeps slipping off and she has 3 cracks in her armhole joint armature. I have some epoxy but would it be ok to patch her up? If not, can I get a skeletal replacement?

Before you charge out and buy that replacement part, make sure the part needs replacing. Remove both her arms (swing forward and back while pulling out), remove her head and neck piece (reach over the top of her head, grasp the head with your thumb and index finger, squeeze the head just above the neck and pull out. You want the neck piece to stay attached to the head. It's far easier to put the neck piece into the neck than attach the neck piece to the head.) The bust vinyl should now come straight up and off.

Now you can inspect the two tubes the arm pegs get inserted into. Verify whether or not either of the tubes are cracked. The edges of the tubes can get chipped a little and still not be cracked. Insert the arm (shoulder peg) into the tube. Does the tube show any signs of a crack with the peg inserted? Does the arm feel firm in the tube or is it still loose?

If the arm feels firm it is possible the shoulder peg may have not been inserted into the tube. With the multiple hinge joints on the chest part it's pretty easy to get these tubes out of alignment and insert the shoulder peg into just the vinyl and miss the tube completely (been there, done that). If the arm feels loose, and there isn't an obvious crack there may be a hairline crack you can't see.

If the arm is still loose and there is a crack (seen or unseen) you can attempt a repair by putting a few drops of the thin kind of super glue (not the gap filling kind) on a cotton swab. You want the thin kind so capillary action will draw the glue into any cracks. Swish the swab around the inside of the tube. Don't push the swab in too far. You don't want to go all the way through and get glue on the rest of the part. Swab a little glue on the outside of the tube and then take some thread and wind it as tight as you can around the outside of the tube. This will act as a clamp while the glue dries and reinforce the tube after it is dry. Allow the glue to dry THOROUGHLY. You don't want to glue the arm in! Trim the ends of the thread if necessary. Insert the arm to test the repair before reassembling. How does the arm feel now? Any better?

Before you reassemble your girl (with the old part or the new part) make sure all the hinges on the tubes are "zeroed out". The two tubes should be perpendicular to the vertical (up and down) axis of the part and should also be straight out to the sides, not pointing to the front or the back. Try not to move the tubes while reassembling the bust part. It will make them easier to find when you reinsert the shoulder pegs.

Make sure you can see the tube just inside the vinyl before reinserting the shoulder peg. Move the vinyl around so the tube is lined up with the hole in the vinyl. Try to insert the shoulder peg matching the angle of the tube. Inserting (or removing) the shoulder peg at an angle is one of the reasons these tubes can get damaged.

Or you can get that replacement part as suggested by Yokha.

Thanks K-2! She definately has 3 cracks so I'll try the super glue method

Just make sure the glue is good and dry before putting the arm back!

Also wanted to notify you I was able to "fix" the problem with the hand peg. I put some clear tape above the hole, poked it with scissors and smoothed it down. This helps makes the hole a little smaller for a tighter fit. Also took her arms off and compared the hands and the holes. The (her) left hole was a little bigger than the right. Just by a little bit. ^_^

I won't bother with the leg cause I don't mind it much now ~

Hmmm, I was curious...I obtained a really cute Parabox head, she's a 40cm and it states on the website she can take Parabox/Obitsu's 40cm or 45cm...does anyone think she could fit on a 48cm Angel Philia body? I imagine it COULD work but I worry of her head looking too small on the body.

Parabox 40-50cm head size was the same, so I think its will look good.
