Hi there, I'm new to the board and I have a question about VMF50 hybrids, which I am not seeing being answered elsewhere.

I want to get a VMF50 doll, but I don't like how short their bodies. I want to make a hybrid of an Obitsu 60cm with a VMF50 bust and head. Does anyone know if this would be possible to do? Does anyone have both of those dolls that they could hybrid for me to see if it works?

Thank you so much!

As you probably know, the VMF50s and Angel Philias (as well as Visuadolls and some Azones) are based on the Obitsu 50cm body. The Obitsu 50cm and 60cm lines are for the most part not compatible with each other as their overall diameters vary greatly. It's essentially like trying to combine SD and MSD resin parts.

Internally, the 50cm spine assembly can be used in the 60cm body as a replacement and some 1/3 scale Obitsu heads (primarily the Haruka and the Gretel) work on both size bodies but that's about it.

50cm bust parts are too small in diameter to fit over 60cm abdominal parts (on both sizes the abdomen slips into the bottom of the bust part) and most VMF50 and AP heads are small, being around 6 1/2" in diameter. While both 50cm and 60cm sizes use the same head/neck connection, these smaller heads may look a little "pinhead-ish" on the larger 60cm bodies.

She looks great, Error-Chan! The tan AP/vmf50 girls are soo beautiful! I hope to get one too eventually. Ideally I'd love a Type A body in tan, but I don't think that has ever been made, right???

Kinda off-topic aside.. I've been contemplating dyeing my Azone girl a light tan but the process seems too unpredictable for a relatively small change, especially with vinyl parts that are hard to get. I wish obitsu offered their 50cms in natural skin tone as well because that's pretty much what I'm looking for.

Correct, the Type A was only made in white skin. The closest you can get is a tan Type E (slightly smaller bust, but same round shape) and swap in a Type H torso for the widest, roundest hips in tan. Like so:

Thanks so, so much for the picture, K-2! This combination is exactly what I had in mind for the body of one of my girls!! And a Meru head would just complete her. This is so exciting! I still have to make more progress with my first girl, but I'll almost definitely be on the lookout for those AP bodies/parts! AP/vmf50 girls are so gorgeous that I very well may cave and get any tan one once I save up enough, but I'll try to resist! One thing I am wondering though is if there are 50cm tan shin parts? I know that somewhere along the line the AP girls ended up being a bit shorter than standard 50cms. I assumed that they were made shorter by using shin parts that were shorter, like what the regular 48cm obitsus use... It's not a huge problem since my girl will wear high heels anyway, but it would be great if her height could be super accurate.

Type D,A,and B shin were meant for 50 cm girls and its longer than type C shin parts

When looking for parts, don't forget to check the source! There are a number of parts available from AP and availability has fluctuated lately (rather than just being "sold out"). You will still need a proxy as AP doesn't ship internationally.

Thanks a lot for the help, you two!

I really hope that AP would continue to keep stocks of their parts available since I would much prefer to get a base tan body first before getting new tan parts to switch out. It looks like I'll be on the lookout for a vmf50 Nao first when I acquire the funds for her, especially since head sculpt-wise Nao/Ami doesn't seem too different from Meru/Nemu. Does anyone here have both of these heads?

According to AP/Yamato's published data on those dolls all four use the Type G head sculpt.

Hi everyone!

I'm extremely new to this but have been searching for an Angel Philia doll for years. Just joined the forum and I understand this is where we discuss these dolls (as they are not DD as another member explained to me).

I have just purchased a new pink drops 3 Chiara doll. Have not received her yet and wanted to ask about clothing for her. Where can I buy? I've seen some nice stretchy type tops on similar albeit less busty pink drops dolls that I think will suit her bust. Any information on links and types of clothes would be immensely appreciated!

Also I apologise if this has already been discussed. Please send me appropriate link if you know of it.

Thanks guys!

Ah, yes! The gravity defying Pink Drops 3, Kiara and her amazing frontal architecture!

As far as I know, there are no outfits made for Kiara and her expansive C4 type bust, except for the stretchy string bikini option that was available during her initial offering. Her stupefying 30.5cm bust line will require the most elastic or baggy of tops (or the skimpiest). She's a bit more normal from the waist down. Her C2 Type abdomen gives her a waist of about 13.1cm and hips of about 21.5cm. A lot of MSD clothing will fit her. Check your measurements as "MSD" can be a rather nebulous term.

My PD3, Victoria wears custom made tops for the most part.

Victoria004.jpg

The stockings are from nikitabeachgirl (?) on ebay, SD size will go right up to the crotch. The shoes are Dollfie Dream, reasonably priced from Volks.

Victoria recently went through a procedure so as to more easily perform stupid breast tricks.

Thank you for your reply firstly.

Your Victoria look amazing! I see you leveled out her bust! Did that take a lot of work/manipulation? How do they look sans clothing?

Mine is arriving with the string bikini but I would like to get her a nice skirt (something chequered I think)

K-2 do you have a site where you browse clothing and buy or just use the usual proxy sites like SMJ and YJA?

Actually I just replaced them with a soft bust. It has about the same effect size-wise and it works better for her MADh Vinyl character. Kind of hard to explain why she's always holding up one breast.

How do they look sans clothing?

About like this:

VickiBikini01.jpg

Since they're soft, they can be manipulated/shaped by clothing.

Mine is arriving with the string bikini but I would like to get her a nice skirt (something chequered I think)

There were a few nice skirts made by Yamato before they went belly up and became Angel Philia. The old Yamato clothes used to be released under the name girl*holic. Some of these items come up on YJA occasionally.

K-2 do you have a site where you browse clothing and buy or just use the usual proxy sites like SMJ and YJA?

Since these girls are over the top sexy, a lot of the things made specifically for them range from revealing to down right pornographic, but occasionally some more "common" items can be found. And yes, a lot of the stuff I get for them comes from YJA, usually here: https://www.jauce.com/category-leaf/2084052786

Be aware there is a lot of 1/6 scale stuff in this category as well as 1/3 scale items. I also look through the Dollfie Dream clothing auctions. Some DD stuff can be "tucked and/or hemmed".

I also shop ebay mostly for homemade items. Most of the resold merchandise on ebay is obscenely marked up and frequently can be found elsewhere closer to retail.

Places to keep tabs on/bookmark are:

Angel Philia

http://quarantotto.biz/angelphilia/

AP will partner up with suppliers and sell limited quantities of various articles of clothing that will range from house dresses to hardly there lingerie.

Hobby Search Fashion Doll Store

http://www.1999.co.jp/eng/doll/

HS sells Obitsu and Azone stuff. A lot of the Azone 50cm sized clothes will fit AP bodies (but probably not Kiara's top!). Sign up for their Fashion Doll news letter to see what Azone is releasing.

Parabox

http://parabox.jp/eng_new/

As well as being THE place to get normal replacement parts, Parabox does sell some of the basics for the 50cm.

TcDoll

http://tcdoll.shop-pro.jp/

TcDoll is one stop shopping for "leather and lace" as well as some fetish stuff, including school girl uniforms (and some of the plaid skirts you may be looking for). They carry clothing lines for the 50cm and the Dollfie Dream.

Real Art Projects (Seriously Not Safe For Work or the faint of heart!)

http://realartproject.cart.fc2.com/

RAP is sort of the erotic side of Angel Philia. Again, they have quite a range of items from normal dresses/outfits to hard core bondage gear. Replacement C4 bust are sold there. The site is definitely X rated.

Mandarake

http://order.mandarake.co.jp/order/

A Japanese reseller that will sell internationally. Go to their English site and search VMF50 or Angel Philia. Their stock will vary wildly but there are some deals to be had there. Visuadoll stuff will come up on your searches and Visuadolls (the females) use the Obitsu 50cm body too, so their stuff will fit.

K-2 you are just awesome my friend.

Although I love the current bust I may tire of the mid swing look and opt for what you have done. Thank you so much for the great advice regarding this doll!

When you're ready to shop busts, this is the current array you have to choose from (except the 60cm ones) that will fit the 50cm body:

MVBustChart01s.jpg

The colossal (legible) sized image can be found here.

The soft bust my Victoria has was found on YJA in the section I linked in my previous post. It can also be found in the DD section as the seller stated it's the same bust that fits the DDS.

Thanks K-2!

The chart is really helpful to get a guage of sizes and doll labelling. I am still new to the sizing of parts and what that all means. I have started searching some of the links you gave me and found some nice items but I find it difficult to know if they will fit. I guess it is a bit experimental right? eg some pics it is hard to tell if the clothes are one piece or two pieces.

In regards to the bust and other swap out parts I have seen some extreme bust sizes that I believe are custom made? No idea where these came from. A huge bust that is level (soft or hard) would be great but I have never seem them on sale, only net pics.

Also in regards to buying from RAP do you use SMJ to request special order? Every time I have tried I get a reply along the lines of 'sorry this is unavailable' (guess I have to be quick!)

PS: Sorry to congest this thread with my questions (I would PM you directly but I am still on limited registration)

I can't wait to receive my Kiara and am already looking for my dolls to start a collection.

I was lucky enough to get started with the 50cm just as it came out so I was able to learn about the stuff gradually, not try and catch up all at once. The convoluted history of Yamato/Arcadia/Angel Philia can make your head spin.

The key thing to know/remember is that your Angel Philia is manufactured by Obitsu and is based on their 50cm body and its parts. The 50cm body is used by a number of other doll makers such as Azone, Visuadoll, Real Art Projects, Parabox, and others. When you see those distinctive knee and elbow joints on another doll, you'll know they are related. And being related means there can be crossover of clothes and accessories!

I have started searching some of the links you gave me and found some nice items but I find it difficult to know if they will fit. I guess it is a bit experimental right? eg some pics it is hard to tell if the clothes are one piece or two pieces.

Most of the Azone stuff fits the base 50cm, which is not as big in the hips as most VMF/AP girls. In the last year or so Azone has been also using their new Azo2 body (similar to the Type A), which is the 50cm with more curvy bust, hips, and thighs. These parts, like the AP parts are custom made by Obitsu for each specific company. Articles that fit the Azo2 will fit most VMF/AP girls.

For items manufactured by others for non-specific dolls, go by the measurements. If they don't give measurements be prepared for disappointment, it can be a craps shoot.

In regards to the bust and other swap out parts I have seen some extreme bust sizes that I believe are custom made?

I have only seen 2 extreme busts for the 50cm. There are a few more busts for the 60cm and a lot of them for the DD. These are usually a soft urethane, which are made by small companies and individuals. Unlike the slush molding (vinyl parts) and injection molding (hard plastic skeleton) this sort of molding can be done on your kitchen table.

All the "harder" soft vinyl busts on my bust chart will fit your girl without any modifications. In many cases the most difficult part will be finding them.

Also in regards to buying from RAP do you use SMJ to request special order? Every time I have tried I get a reply along the lines of 'sorry this is unavailable' (guess I have to be quick!)

For most Japanese sellers I use Japan Auction Center as my auction and shopping proxy. I have purchased from Arcadia, AP, and RAP before so they are all set up. In the 6+ years I've been using them I've had no problems.

As far as availability of parts from the retailers, you kind of have to jump on them when you see them. I'm pretty sure AP, RAP, and others have to pay up front when they order parts or dolls from Obitsu, so it's not "parts unlimited". They order a set amount (I really am curious to know how many) and then sell them till they are gone, which frequently can take only a few days. Then they don't necessarily restock right away. AP had a really big restock and pre-order for bodies in December 2015 so when that stock runs out, who knows when they will have more.

Sorry to congest this thread with my questions (I would PM you directly but I am still on limited registration)

No problem. I'm sure there are others with some of the same questions.

I can't wait to receive my Kiara and am already looking for my dolls to start a collection.

When you hit 20 posts we'll be expecting pictures!
