You can leave the wig on but if you're really afraid of staining you could always use a silicone cap. Helps the wig stay put too.

Although I find I don't have as much wig slippage with vinyl dolls as I do with resin.

Do you line the head before using a wig or just only use the wig for photos and leave it off when not in use. I plan to use a blonde wig so was hoping I can just leave it on.

I leave the wigs on my girls. Most of them will never change wigs or go without so I'm not concerned with stains on the ole coconut.

K2, or anyone with a lot of VMF50 parts-matching experience, I need some replacement whitey upper thighs for a type-C body with a C2 (twist) lower torso.

 

I have an order in for Pink Drops #26 from FaithZ that's due to ship in a week or two, so they can just add a pair of thighs to the box without extra shipping or proxy fees.

 

Trouble is, FaithZ is out of type-C thighs, but they do have type-G and type-F in stock. Would either of those work well with the C2 twist torso?

Physically the Type F and G thighs will work with the Type C parts. Both Type F and G are for the 50cm body and the Type Cs are frequently used on 48cms, but most of the size difference is in the shin parts. I believe both sizes use the same "femurs" just pushed in the joint sockets to varying degrees.

Appearance-wise, I refer to the bust comparison chart, which is also an accurate comparison of the "letter" bodies, A through H1.

You will note the differences in the three thighs you've mentioned is subtle, mostly seen in the inner thigh bulge. This bulge being largest in the Type G and smallest on the Type C with the Type F in the middle. Type Ds are probably the closest match but Type D parts haven't been available for quite some time. So either F or G will work, it's just a matter of how it looks to you.

And don't forget to get the right skin tone to match your girl.

So after seeing Angel philia for a long time, I've always been interested in the bodies with all their options, but not crazy about the head sculpts in general as it wouldn't match my collection. (DD's and SmD mostly)

 

Then I came across Nemu (and the other one with lighter skin and same sculpt) and I love them! Unfortunately I find Angel philia a bit confusing as they seem to fall under a bunch of names? (VMF, pink drops, Angel philia, alcadia) I don't really know which ones Nemu falls under? I have been looking on inner collection, faithz, Yahoo Japan, and mandrake, to no avail.

 

So my questions are can anyone give me more info on Nemu and where might be the best place to look? And was her sculpt used in any other dolls that were released? And is it possible that she (or her sculpt, preferably in tan) will be released again?

Yes in past they used this head sculpt pretty often,

Vmf50 Risa (closed eye hole) was released in both skin color, tan and whitey , along with ami, yumi but all had closed eye hole, the recent use of this sculpt was in angel philia Meru, shes on tan skin ( sorry for my broken english)

If you're new to these girls a little bit of history might help you through the maze of names and their close relationship to each other.

 

 

An Incomplete Crash Course in the History of the VMF/Angel Phillia, 48/50cm Dolls.

 

Somewhere around 2008, Obitsu Plastic Manufacturing designs and produces their first 50cm body. This is a new design improving on the technologies of their older vinyl 55/60cm body.

 

Yamato Toy Corporation (known for their PVC figures) has Obitsu manufacture the first Yamato VMF50 (Variable Motion Figure). She is a licensed anime character, Minmay from the Macross Saga. Minmay used the stock Obitsu 50cm body.

 

Shortly thereafter (about 4 months) Yamato produces the second VMF50, the Type B body. The Type B used completely new designs for the exterior vinyls of the 50cm body. The only exterior parts from the stock body are the hands and the feet. The entire stock internal frame was used and remained unmodified.

 

And now we’re off to the races. Over the next few years Yamato designs and Obitsu manufactures an alphabet of body types, the Type D, Type E, Type F, Type G, and finally the Type A, used in the first two Yamato versions of the character Sonico.

 

During the latter part of this period an affiliated company (Real Art Projects) starts using the VMF bodies for some more erotic versions of the 50cm. The RAP girls will be known for suggestive face sculpts, unusual breast and torso pieces, and erotic accessories.

 

Shortly after the third Sonico is announced, Yamato goes belly up and reforms as Arcadia. Arcadia continues to produce 48/50cm dolls under the new name Angel Philia. The third Sonico is produced as an Angel Philia on the new Type C parts.

 

After about two years Angel Philia breaks from Arcadia, becomes Quarantotto, and continues to produce dolls under the Angel Philia name. Real Art Projects continues to produce sexy dolls under the Pink Drops line. Accessories sold through RAP include bondage gear, strap on phalluses, and tentacle sets.

 

During the production of the Obitsu 50cm body other doll producers start using their 48/50cm body. Yamato, Angel Philia, Parabox, Visuadoll, RAP, and Azone all have their own exclusive vinyl designs, which use the Obitsu 48cm and 50cm bodies and are manufactured by Obitsu. It should be kept in mind that most of these bodies, variant busts, and heads are compatible with each other and can successfully be mixed and matched.

Yokha pretty much nailed it on the sculpt info.

 

Your best bet to find one of these girls with the sculpt you're looking for is to keep and eye on Yahoo Japan Auctions and Mandarake. These girls do come up for sale/auction occasionally but usually don't last very long. As for new releases, between AP and RAP there are about 10-12 releases a year but the head sculpt that is used seems to be rather random. So a monthly trip to the AP and RAP web sites can keep you informed of upcoming releases. AP and RAP do not sell internationally so to buy directly from them you will need a proxy.

Ok so I did not know that risa was the same head, good to know! Now I wonder about possibly getting her and opening the eyes.... Since she's cheaper and there is several on YA.

my miko finally back to me, so happy, re-done her face up cos its got ruined when i take her back last week and shes missing some her body parts and the rest of her body got stained and yellowed pretty bad,

the face is done and now i need a new body for her. but so happy i finally found her again.

Actually its was one of my relative, back then i lived only with my brother and sister, so our relatives visit us often, to check on us since our parents are aboard, i think the culprit take the doll when im not home that time, maybe only my brother or sister in the house, long story short, my nephew took the doll and at that time i thought theres a buglar in the house since my doll and some of my sister shoes were gone, last week im in errand to visit my aunty house, and while im waiting, i played with my nephew daughter and she showed me her toy box and accidentally found my doll there in really bad condition, and i ask my aunt about it (since she knows about my collection) she told me that her daughter (my nephew) told her i give her the doll as a gift for her new born baby lol, and later i tell her the truth and she apologize to me and give my doll back... (hope it make sense, since my english was not that great)

yep, since people out of this hobby, thinks thats it just the same as barbie or plush toy,so thats why my aunt never ask about it to me, and i never told anyone in my family how much money i spent for one doll, so tshe thought its not that expensive, when i told my aunt about the doll price she kinda surprise, and wish she knew about it, so never suspicious about it and she can ask me when her daughter tell her that i give the doll for a new born baby.

 

im glad i can restore her, but her original body cant be saved sadly, its badly stained and really suffer from the yellowing some of the spot even start getting really dark yellow almost brown, her back head was yellowed as well but thanks god i seal the head when the first time i got her, so the yellowing on the head almost gone, and all the dirt on her face easily get wiped. now im gonna start saving for a new body for her.
