For stained head, you could apply Remove Zit from Twin pines on that stained spot but It's better not to apply it on the body because it might remove body brush along with the stains.

since this information pertains to both VMFs and DDs since both dolls are made of similar materials, i will say the following things can be used to remove stains (some at your own risk) -

 

RemoveZit (i get mine from JunkySpot)

Benzoyl Peroxide (this is an ingredient in many OTC acne products sold in pharmacies - it is usually listed between 2% and 10% strength as an active ingredient)

Magic Eraser (i think i got mine from Amazon)

 

i have not tried to remove any stains using acetone or paint-removers such as Windsor&Newton, but it is possible they may remove light staining. please ask the experts before using any of the products i just mentioned, as using some of them may put your doll at risk of damage to the vinyl/plastic she is made out of.

Galhound - thanks for linking me the Mandarake URL! i am really not sure if i can buy Miu at this time now... she is a doll i am constantly changing my mind over and always have been since i found out about VMF dolls.

 

if i could see and handle a Miu doll IRL, that would help me make my mind up, but obviously i can't. it's not that i don't like Miu - i like her a lot - but i have to prioritize which doll(s) i am going to buy in future since i don't want to spend X money on Miu and then find out i don't have the finances to buy another doll i find that i like more.

i feel she is not at the top of that list right now. i also have thought about possibly looking for Miki insteadof Miu, because Miu uses a default Obitsu head, but Miki is a slightly modified version of the same head (someone correct me if i am wrong about Miki having a modded sculpt...)

 

the guy (i forgot his username, too lazy to check right now, sorry!) who posted in this thread about selling a Miu doll to me hasn't even read or responded to my PM anyway (you can see if someone hasn't read a PM because it exists in your outbox until they do), so maybe he found a buyer elsewhere or is just too busy to reply. i think it's a sign i should put the idea of getting Miu on hold.

i agree with you about the PV for the Angel who was just announced - i'm repeating myself but it was common (when they were Yamato) for the company to release the same face sculpt but with 2 different bodies and 2 different skintones under 2 different names. now as Arcadia, i see them re-using certain sculpts or body parts on the new dolls even more (although it's also nice to see that they do have new sculpts even if they are re-using them... i showed my boyfriend some pictures of AP Maya yesterday and he really liked her 'realistic' style face)

 

both her skintone and her body are really gorgeous. i'm curious to see if the AP tan skin matches the VMF tan skin or not, but i suspect it will since they are selling some tan VMF parts in their shop (and Romina was a VMF/Dollcore not AP/Pinkdrops, and i think you are right about this new girl having the same bust type).

 

speaking of Romina, i should be getting her & Nao shipped out to me soon! they have been in storage in my proxy's warehouse so i can save on the shipping fees, but the courtesy storage period is ending soon so i have to pay for a shipment. i'm really excited to see if i like them IRL or not... i really hope i do, and i'm pretty confident i will, but in the case that i don't like either doll enough to keep, then they can always go up for resale ^^

i also have been meaning to update the FAQ with new and more accurate information about VMF/AP dolls, which i will do when i have a moment of none-procrastination! if anybody is bored enough and would like to help me update it, i have made notes on what i need to research before i can update:

- Any unknown/variant/related dolls that there is not known much about (such as the ones i posted pictures of from the doll show a month or so ago that were simply called "Bijin na Entry Girls")

 

i have an (incomplete) list of Japanese and English search keywords i need to add to the FAQ to help people find both the dolls themselves and accessories that fit them when they are looking to purchase.

 

i also have to update some minor details about websites selling accessories and clothing, wigs, etc for the dolls (i ordered some things from both Parabox, DollHeart and some other sellers for my VMFs which arrived - i am going to do a mini-review of their products and my opinions on the fitting and link to it when possible, but i don't know when i get around to doing that).

 

if anyone besides me has clothing, wigs, shoes or accessories for their VMF/AP dolls purchased from websites or sellers that are *not* already mentioned in the FAQ (or if they purchased from sellers in the FAQ but the item(s) did not fit properly), i would welcome information about that.

 

plus, if there is any info in the FAQ that is not there that you would like to see there, i will be checking all these things myself, but am mentioning them in case anyone would like to help out.

re: the Angel Blade... it's an official outfit w/ headpiece, i am fairly sure it is not a doll though. all the pictures i can find of the Angel Blade outfit are being modeled by a doll that appears to be VMF50 Eri on a Type G(?) bust body or something similar to that shape.

 

Yamato/Arcadia don't like to sell their dolls with any outfits included unless they are the special character dolls (i.e Super Sonico, Kan'u Unchou) so it would be unlikely they'd sell an Original Character Girl doll with an outfit unless it's a special, one-off kind... she doesn't have Eri's normal body but they frequently head-swap and part-swap their dolls for the purposes of showing outfits off, especially at doll shows.

 

edit 1 - also the pic you posted came from Moeyo, so to confirm this you or i can just search there for the entry if we really want to.

i found a french store that sells internationally and is trying to get rid of their stock of VMF/Special/Dollcore dolls. the prices are "reduced" and yet they are still marked up slightly/exorbitantly above YAJ prices (depends on the doll), but some are "average" deals and if you don't have a proxy or if you live in/near Europe it might be worth it ...

 

i noticed they have Karura for over 1,000 euros... yes, she is rare, but absolutely not worth that price at all yet unless you have money to burn, can't get a JP proxy, or if she never appears on YJA ever again.

 

there are some dolls listed that appear to be out of stock, very unlikely they will/can restock. the only dolls in stock are the ones with 2 buttons, you want 'Ajouter au panier' (add to cart) visible.

I believe the Angel Blade vmf50 was just a prototype and

vaguely remember her showing up just after Miho was

released, I love the picture of Yumi with the white TC Doll

Bustier set it's one of the things that initially got me to take

the step from PVC statues/figures to dolls and I'm happy to

say I finally acquired one "yay"

yeah, i kind-of like this face on Liza in tan but was undecided...i am not really into it in the lighter skin color. not sure how i feel about it at all yet still.

 

on their site they actually list all the specific body parts used, but i was (am) feeling kinda tired and lazy so i just went with "and her boobs are small..." but yeah, if you want to know exactly what body parts she has, go to the RAP shop and read the item description.

 

FTR, i'm not fluent in Japanese at all, i can only read and write in kana w/ a few basic kanji and i'm not able to understand most kanji.... however... i have a friend who is completely fluent. he'll translate any parts of the chart for me if i ask him to do so [that i can't figure out myself]. plus i can get him to check if i made translation errors. he's very very busy most days though so if someone wants to translate the chart faster then please go ahead because i don't know when he'll have a moment to go through it with me.

my Shiho is both my first and my favorite (though Sayo comes a really close second, and i was very surprised to find out i like Kana *a lot* since i originally bought her considering to resell her, but changed my mind)...

still i feel like Mandarake are marking her price up a little too high too soon.

 

obviously the last one for 100,000 JPY did sell and this one probably will too, but i swear i have seen her for a lower price on YAJ in the last 6 months unless my memory is bad... that said, she does not appear up for auction very frequently. she is/was definitely one of the most popular Original Character girls and even if she isn't worth 90-100,000 JPY right now, in future she will be.

I know how you feel - that is why i am waiting to get Romina to decide if i want to bid on a Karura/Marina head doll (i accidentally referred to her as Miria before, since they're both PD girls with similar names). i actually like having dolls that are similar or look like twins, but the facial expressions on the both Rom/Karu/Miri and Liza/Sayuri are both so extremely specific that i'm not sure if i would want to own two of the same face yet.

 

My Romina & Nao should also arrive within the next week ^^ i would love to see any pics you take of Marina, so i hope she arrives to you soon!

 

i have bought many dolls (not just VMF types, in total i have just over 30 different dolls) and so far i have never been disappointed by VMF dolls "in person"... the dolls i am most nervous about buying (and have either resold or have up for sale/will sell in future) are almost always resin BJD.

then again, i only have 3 VMFs right now, so that opinion could change. it all depends on your personal tastes in dolls, i think.

Hi Baldylox,

Yep you sure can Angel Philia do have a "body & parts" section and

do supply some of the body types including the G-type.......BUT

the G-type bust, torso and thigh parts sell very very quickly so get

your proxy ready when they're available.

ATM they're sold out but the good news is they (Angel Philia) do

periodically restock;);)

 

They great thing with the VMF 50's the body parts are so

interchangeable so the Nao head looks great on the G-type

body, I've got mine on display ATM in Kanu's gear:) The only

thing is the tan E-type body (Yumi & Nao)come out with a lovely

gloss sheen on they're skin while the G-type has a matte skin

finish this also goes for the C-type body (Kana & Romina)

Nao still looks great on the G-type body, she looks like she's

just got a little bit more make-up on;) but when she's clothed

you can't notice.

 

The only body parts that seem body specific are the D-type (Risa)

and the F-type bust which doesn't really fit the older bodies.

 

If you can get a Nao I highly recommend it she is super super cute

and the E-type body is beautiful in appearance and flexibility the

only thing I didn't like we're her "love" eyes but that's just me

Thanks for the info TomoTomo! I'm glad to see you can swap around body parts on these girls. I was pretty sure you could because I've seen pics of Nao on that Shiho body from Hololo on Flickr. I really like that girl!

hope you get your G-type girl sometime soon Baldy! FYI, i believe that Dollcore Girls #2 and #3 (Ramia/Lamia and Sayaka) have G type boobs, but they are white skin and not tan skin like Shiho is.

 

also, Romina needs to get here soon because i wanna look at her chest (lol)... from pictures, it looks like she has big boobs, but they are definitely a different shape to Type G...

G-type is basically gravity-defying hentai boobs, while the ones on Romina appear to be a different shape that obey the laws of gravity slightly more (emphasis on slightly?)

 

like Galhound said, one of the new Angel Philia dolls is probably going to have the same type of boobs as Romina. i think that bust type is called C3. Pink Drops Marina also has it (i mention because she's the only doll with the C3 bust in light skin tone - Romina and the doll Galhound posted a pic of are both tan skin tone)

 

so if you want a doll with big boobs, the C3 bust might be a decent alternative to the G type. the hip/butt sizes of different dolls are also different depending on which one you get though, if that is also a factor.

 

edit: also the type B bust is only around 1-2 cm smaller at most than G according to measurements chart. the only dolls i know of that have it are Miu and Miki, though.

Hope you get your G-type girl sometime soon Baldy! FYI, i believe that Dollcore Girls #2 and #3 (Ramia/Lamia and Sayaka) have G type boobs, but they are white skin and not tan skin like Shiho is.

 

The parts swapping bit is always confusing to me on other lines of dolls besides the DD because it's unfamiliar territory for me. It's nice to know it's possible! also, Romina needs to get here soon because i wanna look at her chest (lol)... from pictures, it looks like she has big boobs, but they are definitely a different shape to Type G...

G-type is basically gravity-defying hentai boobs, while the ones on Romina appear to be a different shape that obey the laws of gravity slightly more (emphasis on slightly?)

 

Ha ha! Nothing wrong with wanting to check her out! I'm interested in how she looks too so whenever she does arrive, I'd love to see photos of her for comparison. The hentai styled boobs are fine and all but more natural shaped ones are cool too. Who knows, I may be swayed to the ones Romina has if they look good. My main reason for wanting one of these girls is to have one girl who specifically is a bada$$ and super sexy. Manami is super sexy yes but she doesn't have that "hot" vibe like these style girls do. I'm not sure how to put it but while Manami is definitely sexy and has those big Peach Pai, I would like a girl who is all about the sex factor and doesn't try to hide it. Not that Manami hides it...

 

 

So if you want a doll with big boobs, the C3 bust might be a decent alternative to the G type. the hip/butt sizes of different dolls are also different depending on which one you get though, if that is also a factor.

 

I just really love the look of the G-type bodies. If you've got any shots of the C3 to share I'd like to see them! And I'm not sure about the legs and hips/butt... I'm guessing I'd like the bigger booty and thighs so she has some curves elsewhere besides just her chest. That Nao on YJA has a nice look to her, what body is that?

when i get my Romina & Nao (if they don't arrive this week, they should *definitely* come by next week) i plan on posting comparison pics of them together with my other VMFs (currently have Shiho [G], Kana [C1], Sayo [C])

 

as i said, Romina's boobs are (i think) C3 and Nao has a type E.

E boobs and butt/hips are smaller than C3, so it basically goes (biggest to smallest?) G > B or C3 (don't know C3 measurements yet) > E > all other sizes

 

FWIW, since Nao has tan skin, as does Romina and Shiho... i'm not totally committed to this idea since it depends what i think of Romina... but if i prefer Romina's shape then i might end up getting a 2nd C3 bust for Shiho and selling the G bust. it also depends on if the DDdy bras i bought for Shiho work on the Romina bust or not, or if i can even find the replacement parts for sale, etc.

really this thought occurred to me while i was changing Shiho's display outfit this morning, and i just wished her boobs were slightly smaller or at least less perky, from my personal taste POV i would prefer it if she had more "realistic" looking boobs even if they aren't actually smaller. it's something i'll kick around in my head and may end up backing out on, but if i do a parts-changing experiment i'll post results.

yup, i know exactly the type of character you mean. honestly VMFs are marketed majorly on sex factor and that is not an accident, it's a deliberate business plan on the part of the company. they are intended to be more sexy than even the DDdy dolls are. i feel like i'm not really the target market for these dolls even though i like them a lot.... unless i do a lingerie set with Shiho, i often deliberately play down their 'sexy' factor by the way i dress/style/photograph them - which is the opposite of what most people want to or like to do with them.

i say 'to each their own' so i'm not concerned with what people want from a VMF doll since everyone has different tastes.

 

in response to the rest of your message, well i pretty much already covered it - Nao is type E, i will take comparison pics when *my* Nao and Romina get here, and i also will try to decipher the more complex parts of that measurement chart i found once my friend has some spare time to help me.

 

kymaera has a Nao doll and he posted a bunch of pics of her on page 1~2+ of this thread when i first started it, so you could look at those - or i might edit/doublepost with some comparison pics if i find any convenient ones.
