omg, well i'm so glad you were able to get her! and yes, i'll keep checking mandarake. do you know why there's such a huge price difference between the two sites btw? mandarake is like $200 cheaper than faithz for some reason?

I assume the price difference is due to the monetary exchange rates in each country. Faithz is in Hong Kong and Mandarake in Japan. Not sure though, Faithz may mark up more to cover their import costs.

I was thinking the same thing, it really is a big price difference though which is nice. I've never bought off of Faithz before so I can't say but Mandarake ships and delivers really fast for my first experience which is a plus as well 👍just which they had actual stock like Faithz does 😅

i'd heard that before, but it's a really large difference. my sister said something about the fact that mandarake having them as store front also attributes to the huge difference, but man.. LOL. i really want to order Suzuka but i'm not sure if i should pre-order through faithz or chance it and wait for her to pop up on mandarake- and also not sure if Nanase will pop up anywhere before the pre-order for Suzuka ends..

Correct me if I’m wrong, but seems like faithz is selling new items?  If that’s the case, then your difference probably has to do with mandarake being second hand.  Their prices are driven by market demand/item condition and their stock by what people come in to sell to to them.

the ones on mandarake are also labelled as new, just that theyre storefront... initially i thought it might be because the mandarake ones were secondhand but no, they're new. i'm confused because on yahoo japan theyre selling for way more than on mandarake too

Interesting - mandarake does do new stuff sometimes (just so little I forgot lol).  The storefront part shouldn’t be a driver I’d think - rather I’d guess that because mandarake got it new straight from AP, they aren’t allowed to mark it up from original price.  At least looking at their New Mona listing, her price is same as APs original.  faithz probably does need mark up for import costs like y’all said (whether it’s all import cost or there’s some other fees being baked in is anyones guess)

Yahoo Japan I’d put down to scalpers not bound by such limitations.

LITERALLY! Yahoo Japan will sometimes have angel philias but they're usually prices 600-700 usually and that's on a bidding website so that total isn't even set in stone. There's an Aki on there I've been eyeing but idk...Its tempting but it won't be worth it in my eyes 😅

Less intermediaries and maybe, just maybe some distribution agreement with quarantotto/arcadia/whatever XD.

 

Their brands aside, APs are the only category I've seen sold new (not new but preowned or sealed second hand).

I’m really considering whether or not to send an email to Quarantotto.biz, Mandarake and/or FaithZ to ask when their AP white/bright white hull part sets and type-J heads will finally be restocked.
 

I often see brown hull part sets in stock, but white hull part sets are often out of stock and difficult to come by.

I want to build a new character concept based on AP’s type-J head sculpt with a short hime-cut wig and her original AP faceup. Hint: AP Misa-chan. I mention her a lot.

This is kind of a newbie question but do dollfie dream (1/3 scale) shorts fit all angel philia hips or just H?? 

So....AP Nanase was up for grabs again for some reason, me and my boyfriend were looking at pictures of her feeling bummed out hehe 😅 but then we clicked on Faithz together and there she was still available, so naturally we split the cost in half and immediately bought her! Me and him are very happy right now ; w ; ) (no more dolls this year again for awhile LOL)

Emmy is up for grabs too so whoever missed her preorder can get her today!

i emailed faithz to ask if they would be able to get an extra, and they responded and said to look out for when they did.. and i was too late T_T congrats though! i hope you enjoy her ^^

Bit the bullet and ordered Miu off of Mandrake, hoping she comes in before we go away next week. 

Very excited to finally have a buff girl! Still trying to figure out whether I'll be getting her a different head, sending her original head off to a faceup artist, trying my DDH04 head on the body...or possibly all of the above.

Found out about these dolls since a couple of days ago. I have my eye on one or two I like but it's going to take a long time before I actually can buy one. 

Guess I'll just check out mandarake until I have the money.

Kumi and Emmy are up on faithz for the second round of preorder i think! and theres a Mona on Mandarake for significantly cheaper than the other two
