Custom head is loose on MDD body

Hey,

 

I customised a Volks DD rooted hair head and although it's supposed to be compatible, it doesn't seem to go on the my MDD body very well.

 

Her head is 'on' and doesn't just fall off, but a firm pull removes it easily.

 

Am I just being a wuss? Do I need to jam her head on more firmly?!

 

Any suggestions gladly welcome!

 

Oh, and I don't know if people have felt the rooted heads, but they are very soft compared to regular heads.....
