Where to buy DD III or sister

Recommended Posts

Masuuka

Hello! I am contemplating getting a dollfie. As money can only slowly dribble in, it might take me one full year to get one with the face up and tools, outfits etc. *sighs*

Anyway, for my first one I really want one with maximum poseability so I'm not disappointed in her movement ability.

So, does anyone know where to buy a fully-put-together sister or a DD III base body?

Sorry for my off topic in the beginning. Too bad DDs are soooo darn expensive >//o//<

Right now, there's only 2 ways to get a DDS (sister) or DDIII from Volks. You either have to buy the pieces individually and build your own doll, or you have to buy a full set doll. For DDIIIs, you can either buy Yukino or Aoi (they are the 2 regular, non-limited dolls) or buy a limited doll. For DDS, you can only buy a limited doll. There is no regular version of them right now.

The other option is you can just track down a body and then attach any head you would like to. There's several places you can try looking: the marketplace here (requires 20 posts to see), the Dollfie Dream group on Flickr, eBay, and other doll forums with marketplaces. You can just wait for one to go up for sale or just post a wanted to buy thread to see if someone has one they can sell you.

Something you might want to be aware of is the pricing. DDIII bodies and DDS bodies, even used, can easily cost over $300. It really depends on what the seller is asking, obviously. You might get lucky and find one cheaper than that, but since there's a bit of a DD body shortage right now, it's getting harder to find them that cheap.

Are you ready to rock? ^_^

Hi there!

So for the DDS (Sister Body) there is no fully put together body being sold. You'll have to buy all the parts in order to put the body together. Not sure where you're located, but if you're in the US you can buy from Volks USA [Parts not in stock are arms & upper torso internal frame]:

http://www.volksusa.com/dollfie-dream-dollfie-dream-sister.html

And if you're not in the US you can purchase from Volks International [Parts not in stock are arms/upper torso internal frame/thighs/waist]:

https://www.volks.co.jp/page_ex.jsp?CONTROLID=SC0030&BUSINESSID=InitDisp&category=01&l=02&m=04&s=004

You'll have to keep checking both sites to see when they restock the parts that are missing. And there's always buying a DDS that is up for lottery :3

As for the DDIII body the only way to get one all put together is either to buy one of their character models (Aoi or Yukino 2nd version, both which are out of stock on both sites):

http://www.volksusa.com/dollfie-dream-dollfie-dream-character-models.html

https://www.volks.co.jp/page_ex.jsp?CONTROLID=SC0030&BUSINESSID=InitDisp&category=01&l=02&m=01&s=001

Or to put in for one of the DDs they have up for lottery during events. As of right now they don't have the parts for sale, but from scans we've seen of the Hometown Dolpa Sendai (one of many events that Volks organizes in Japan) that they will start selling the DDIII/DDdyIII/MDDIII parts later on so you could always wait for that to happen

Other than those options you could always check here in the sales thread/figure.fm/DoA/ebay to see if people are selling bodies they no longer need. Really hope this helps you!

Thanks all! I guess I'll grit my teeth and save up money to buy the DDS the Jared way! (the good thing is is that I don't have to buy it all at once)
