Galvatim Posted July 13, 2012 Rather than clutter up the Figure photo thread withmy pics and disscussion of Sideshow's products, I figured it's better to start a new thread. Sideshow now distributes Hot Toys' products in the US as well, and the two companies have collaborated on a few too. Sideshow Toys figures 041 by galvatim, on Flickr And here are two of those collaborations! Captain Rex (L), and clone armor Obi-Wan ©! The figure on the right is Medicom's Revenge of the Sith Clone Trooper. Sideshow Toys figures 037 by galvatim, on Flickr Captain Rex is from the Clone Wars cartoon. I haven't paid much attention to the Clone Wars cartoon. Rex comes with a ton of cool gear though, which is why I picked him up. You might notice the removable pistols holstered at his hips, as well. 002 by galvatim, on Flickr Rex includes an unmasked head also. The helmet doesn't go over this head, it's another head piece entirely. Sideshow Toys figures 075 by galvatim, on Flickr Sideshow also produced a series of figures based on the X-Files! Sadly, Scully, and especially Mulder, have pretty weak paint apps... Sideshow Toys figures 081 by galvatim, on Flickr Mulder's left eye seems to be floating off... He's one of their older figures, from prior to the collaboration with Hot Toys. Clone armor Obi-Wan and Captain Rex show just how far Sideshow has come over the years. Oh, cool! I kick myself for not getting Wesker... Still debating if I should get HT Alice from the RE movies... I was very obsessed with RE5 when I was on vacation in Hong Kong. I visited the HT store there and I found that my cousin is friends with the owner there so I got 30% off the RE5 set. Ara Posted July 27, 2012 At the moment I'm sitting on the edge of my seat because of the release of the new Mythos Statue...of Ben Kenobi. I saw a blurry photo months ago of one of his heads and KNEW I had to get him. I usually don't pay much for statues. or buy statues at all, but he's a big exception. I'm impressed with the Mythos line overall so far, depending on the price I might get the Gamorrean Guard for my dad, and maybe Boba for myself. KSSSSH, be quiet But it's mostly the Guiness/McGregor mix of the second head I adore. I love Obi-Wan/Ben so much and I think there is simply not enough about the time between Episode III and IV covered in the books and other things. I also want to get him for cosplay reference. My girlfriend already made Episode III Obi-Wan for me, we are working on a Clone Wars armor right now, and she will do Ben too. So if we just mix these three costumes together, add the missing parts...dang, that would be so awesome. (that's her btw Imagine how much I sobbed during editing the pictures, it's like a dream coming true) Share this post Link to post Share on other sites
