Schoolgirl Marisa

I've had Marisa for a while now, but I had yet to take her out of her stock outfit. The witch hat was just so cute, and I also had a hard time picking out clothing that was right for her! Most of my things are for the "older" girls (Marisa seems a bit younger to me because of her face and body) and they just didn't seem to fit her. That is, until my latest order from nDoll came in! The schoolgirl outfit I bought seemed right for her younger look, plus I had the perfect wig to go with it. As soon as I had the outfit on her, I cajoled SirNarwhal into taking a break from figure photography to shoot her. Dolls are a bit easier to shoot because of how big they are, but posing them can be tricky. ^^;

Haha, it did take a while to get me to take pictures =P I get burnt out from doing so many reviews as well as photography for class and it's still a challenge to make dolls not look like dolls, but rather people. Really love this outfit; Marisa suddenly went from one of our dolls I didn't think about as much as others to one of my favorites instantly =D

Thanks everyone! Marisa definitely has one of my favorite faces, it's just bubbling with personality. And I'm glad I finally found outfits that work on her, now that I know how to dress her I actually feel like I appreciate her more. Which seems kind of silly, but for some reason it's like she finally came out of her shell! I feel like she could get into some pretty crazy antics with the rest of my doll family now. ^^

The nyan nyan paws actually come with Marisa! For some reason they decided to make Dollfies who need holding hands (Marisa for the broom, Reimu for her staff-thing) and give them not even regular hands, but the closed ones. I don't really mind since I can swap out with my other girls if need be, but I think some people found it kind of frustrating since Volks is out of stock of all their hands. Someone on the boards mentioned that they are getting them back in stock soon, so I am hoping to pick up one of each kind of the alternate hands so we can have some more fun posing them!
