A few newbie questions...

Ok, I tried searching for this stuff in the newbie section but I couldn't find anything. I hope I'm not repeating some questions here, if I am- Sorry!!

 

1) Are there any comparison shots between a MDD and a DDS? Or even a MDD and a DD. I just want to see size differences between them.

 

2) Are the regular option heads different sizes for each body (i.e. is the MDD 01 head smaller than the DD 01 head) or are they the same size (are the DD and MDD heads interchangeable).

 

3) Which size doll do you recommend as a first? Are the MDDs more manageable than a DD or does size not matter too much? I'm not sure if I'll be overwhelmed by a DD and maybe should start with a MDD...

 

4) Who is this girl?? I love her...

2) blank heads Volks sell are to go on any body, limited character heads sizes do differ a bit

3) Which girl you get first is really all about your personal preferences. Do you want something big or are you more comfortable with smaller toys?

2. Option heads are in one size, there's only one DDH-01(..06) and there's no MDD-01(..06) head.

But even 01-06 heads differ in size, 03 being probably the smallest of them.

Another topic is the difference in limited head sizes - MDD heads tends to be smaller.

 

3. I cannot say, what size You will find better.

You have to decide, if You want a big girl (DD) or a child girl (MDD) or something in between (DDS).

Or even bigger girl - DDdy

 

4. She's one-off Kanu. Abandon all hope, Volks won't re-release her in predictable future

 

 

Limited tan Kanu is obtainable, but not common and not cheap by any means.

Billy did a great job with all the DD (and DDS) body comparisons but I just wanted to see how big of a size difference there was between the DDs and MDDs. You picture was super helpful! I can't believe how big the DDs look next to the MDDs! I'm still not sure which size I want yet... So many choices!!

You're not alone - there is a need for such head. I'd love to get a similar one.

SQ Lab may be of help, Ranka has many interesting scuplts.

Some could be customized to similar expression.

What you would be looking for is Dollfie Dream Dynamite Kan'u Uncho from Ikki Tosen. She comes with tanned skin color which was only done twice so you almost have to get her full set(or at least head and body together) or they won't match. You can find her used but you may need some patience and money. You'd probably be looking at $1500 or more these days as she is rather popular.

No, not really However that SQ link was very helpful! All those awesome head sculpts! Now I have even more choices!
