SchroedingersCat Posted December 30, 2012 PC, built by hand. Each piece carefully selected and lovingly installed, power settings adjusted to produce the highest speeds sustainable by my cooling setup... Although she's a few years old now and will need replacing soon, even though I've upgraded fairly consistently. The motherboard is getting a bit long in the tooth. I've never really understood why someone wold hamstring themselves with a Mac. Now with +/- 15% more uncertainty!
Juanita Posted December 30, 2012 I'm on a Mac. For me it's a working tool, I create graphic designs, write papers and browse the internet on it. I'm not particular interested in games. If I would be, I'd still be playing them on a game console as they run smoother on it and the graphics are often better.

Yukamina Posted December 30, 2012 I'm on a PC. They cost a lot less and you can upgrade parts on them... The PC computers I had before were painful to use after a couple years, but the one I'm on now has been really good to me. It's improved my opinion of PC a lot (well, I just think technology gets smoother and faster over time). I used a Mac for one of my classes at school, not sure if I liked it. It'd take some getting used to, anyway. My Etsy Shop ~~~ My DeviantArt

a88_angel Posted January 16, 2013 I am a PC to Mac convert. As a graphic/web designer, I love my Mac. At my community college we used PCs for all of our graphic design coursework but when I graduated and went on to the university for my bachelor's the program there was all Mac. I bought my first Mac desktop with my student loan $ After that I bought a Macbook so I could have it with me when I met with freelance clients. When Adobe came out with CS 4 I had to upgrade so now my hubby has my first Macbook and I have a Macbook Pro now. I love my Mac. Have both Mac and PC at work. Don't touch the PC unless I have to lol. SchroedingersCat Posted January 18, 2013 Just out of curiosity, do you use a Mac because of the perception that it's better for creative purposes (design, editing, effect, etc)? Nothing wrong with that, but it hasn't been true since Apple switched to standard PC architecture. It's merely a case of software now, and the same software suites are available for OSX and Windows. After all, every Mac user is a PC user these days. Now with +/- 15% more uncertainty!

And, honestly, if you just browse the internet and email and such, OSX and Windows are exactly the same. Also, the same creative software available to Macs is available to Windows too. Are you ready to rock? ^_^
Shailara Posted January 18, 2013 I don't like MACs so I'm a PC user. I just don't think there's a reason why I should go through the trouble of learning how to use a MAC when I can do all my work just the same on a PC ^ ^; I don't feel limited when doing my artwork so... Soenatte Posted January 18, 2013 PCs are on level with Macs nowadays... and for the price of a Mac I can get a PC that does two times what that Mac would be doing so to speak (or well, not exactly "twice" but still). To me its both a matter of preference and of price. While I disagree a lot with how PCs are built, especially the newest Windows OS I can't see myself changing.
