It finally happened... Kaori snapped..

I was posing her, bending her back then she went all floppy and i knew that it had to be a broken spine

Now she has to visit the ER.....

Aww, that's too bad! I hope she gets the treatment she needs for a full and speedy recovery.

Oh no!!! I was just in the ER myself... I'm sure they'll admit her for several days of work... and then there will be all the physical therapy 0_0

Well, I've been there and done that and I totally feel you. It's so sad when it happens, you feel totally to blame for it... I know I did. But it looks like you have things well in hand. You went a bit further with taking her apart than I did with Manami but your repairs should work well. I just pulled the two lower pieces out of the top part with needlenose pliers and there was no damage at all with that.

 

As long as you use some of that plastic weld epoxy, you'll be just fine. So far Manami hasn't had any issues with her repairs at all. That stuff dries rock hard and super strong.

PS. From the undies or swimsuit bottom I can see in one of those photos, it looks like she was wearing something VERY interesting when this happened!!

Yeah, I was picturing her with a machette ala Rena from Higurashi.

I thought the exact same thing as archangeli, it is a pretty good photostory title.

 

How much did you have to tilt her back for it to snap? or was it just that worn out?

 

Definitely going to be checking out your repair process of this to learn. Best of luck fixing her up!

I had a good look at the broken pieces, thinking of a better way of fixing it. I was thinking of gluing it with plastic weld, but also want to reinforce the parts. I seen people use long screws to make it stronger, but after thinking about for some time, i will take a different approach. I won't say quite yet, as it could be a failure. Either way you'll know when it's done

I must have been at the breaking point from me giving her a dynamic pose a lot of times.

I guess it would happen sometime, but wishing that it wouldn't.

Ahh, okay. I know you will figure something out that will be a wonderful fix for her. And she will be back as good as new if not better! I have my fingers crossed that everything goes smoothly for you and Kaori!

She's fixed, just getting her body cleaned at the moment.

This happened to 5 of my girls, it will probably happen to them all eventually. Doesn't bother me in the slightest, at least its fixable!
