Dollfie Dream Soniko

Soniko has been one of my favorite characters for a while, and after the announcement of the weird-looking Yamato doll of her I knew it was very unlikely that she'd get a Dollfie made. So Sirnarwhal and I decided to make our own! She's far from complete right now, but I thought I'd show off some pictures of her anyway. ^^

 

For her to be finished we're going to need to get/make some of her outfits, which is actually a bit easy for some of them (like her Valentines apron) and quite difficult for others (like the getup she has on in the Orchid Seed bondage figure). She also needs a haircut! We actually bought this wig with the intention of cutting it, but I just loved it so much that we are keeping her with the long curls for now and buying another one to chop up. But her head (which I purchased from a fellow board member!), eyes and body are all together. She has, of course, a dynamite body, and my only one so far! I adore the sculpt for it, I thought the boobs might be too much but they balance very well with her hips and she even has a bit of a sculpted belly. Hooray for (relatively) realistic dolls!

I absolutely adore her, and I feel like she has a lot more personality than some of my other girls, especially Saber Lily who I am still "getting to know." She's a bit spoiled and tends to act like she's ten years old, but she's also bashful and quite sweet at times. She's also exceptionally awesome when combined with other dolls! We'll have a shoot of Soniko and Noumi facing off about the doll couch soon. ^^

Thanks! It took a long time to decide on the right face, we wanted something that was both cute, embarrassed and a little annoyed-looking. Thankfully Volks had already made the perfect one! As for the headphones, we have TONS on the way. We have a pre-order for the new orange pair and orders in with Dollfie World for all 4 sets of headphones being released at the next Dolpla, plus a pair of white ones from YJ. A pair for every color outfit!

We also have her guitar on order as well as some of her trademark outfit pieces (such as her sneakers!). I can't wait for her to be finished; she has so much life in Dollfie form and I'm glad to have one of my favorite characters as a Dollfie =D

That's great you guys are spoiling her so much already! That's a lot of headphones. Matching headphones and outfit colors sounds awesome. I can't wait to see her in some of her ensembles.

She also has 4 pink wigs that are just for her. ^^; She really is getting spoiled, I feel like I need to buy my other girls things to balance it out!

Yup, those're Mari's glasses. Soniko's actual glasses I've yet to buy, but I will soon. I also found some bitchin sunglasses for her. Bitches love sunglasses.

One of the reasons we picked Soniko was because of the dynamite body! It's perfect for her, and we'd like to eventually have one of every body type (except the DDI). So far we have S, M, L and shapely L bust DDII, MDD, DDS, and DDdy (and two on obitsu bodies!). I think that's almost all of them, actually! It will be fun to do an eventual comparison of all of them.

 

As for spoiling Soniko... I can't help myself. ^^; I think we spoil all our girls, but Soniko especially. Noumi also has a lot of outfits that are just hers but that's because hers don't actually fit anyone else! Saber also has about 3 that are "hers" but Mari and Marisa tend to share outfits. I guess I'm going to have to buy more stuff as soon as some of my new girls start coming in!

Are you also planning to get the different skin colours as well? I know that for DDdy there's a tan and white that were only available with certain characters (Kanu and White Christmas Alna I think? Anybody that can confirm?) but luckily the white DDII is usually in stock (along with hands!) from Volks USA ^_^

That's cool that you are going after one of each type of body. I am not planning to but I do find myself with lots of different ones.

I would say we should start a thread for body types/parts exclusive to a specific Dollfie, but I think Baldylox' list has everything besides Louise's MDD gripping hands and Sanjie's tan DDII body. Well that's not counting 'outfit' parts like Saber Lily's boot feet or gloved hands, but I see those as necessary for the outfit, not the doll...

I think it would be nearly impossible to get all of them including the different bust sizes for the dynamite body! Mostly because I am not a huge fan of Yoko's face (I like other people's pictures, but I don't want her for myself) so I am never going to have the natural bust type that only comes with her, unless I buy the body separately. As for skin types, I really want Kanu and a white-skinned girl or two so maybe one day I will have all of them! I was hoping Nellis would have white skin but I guess I am going to have to make a custom one eventually... though it's hard to think of very pale characters!

 

Speaking of body types, I wonder if the DDS will have different bust sizes eventually? Or maybe even a DDS dynamite?! That would be perfect for Mami. The idea of all the Madoka girls as DDS makes me foam at the mouth with glee...

Apparently, the DDS can take the optional parts designed for the DDII. I haven't tried it, but I guess you can have an L-bust DDS.

Really? Hmm... I may have to check on Mamimi and see if that *is* possible. The DDS bust is actually a bit smaller than the regular M-bust. It also has a different shape too. I wonder if the L-bust would fit her...

That's exactly what she looks like!! Soniko is so adorable, I just love the expression on her face. You and SirNarwhal did a fantastic job of putting her together.

 

I'm curious, is she often embarrassed by her own voluptuous figure?
