Arisa, Peeking Sun rays, and Lightroom? Also Niimi?

Last month I had the luck of a sunny afternoon and some rays of sunlight falling through the curtains in my room and landing upon Arisa, who had recently decided it was time to stop napping in the towel from her previous trip to the "pool". The sunlight, although totally awesome, wreaked havoc upon my A77's light meter, being that there was entirely too much difference between the highlights from the sun, and the shadows as I had no other lights on. I shot approximately a dozen versions of this image with differing settings and my 85 1.4ZA, although all are at f/1.4.

This last week I picked up Adobe Lightroom 4, and figured I'd take a whack at taming one of these pictures to bring the image closer to what I saw with my eyes. Here's my result.

I like both sets, the "tweaks" add to their own, but, don't discount the "natural" shots either....
