Touhou Suika MDD

I'm helping my brother get into DD and his first step is a MDD. He wants to make Suika from Touhou Project

 

 

He just got the MDD body, a HDD-04 face, and we're going to get a friend to make the outfit and another friend to do the faceup. I'll post progress pics as it goes along but I could use some help. I want to find the perfect wig for her but as you can see her hair is slightly orangy. Of course the end choice will belong to my brother but I'd like some input! I've found about 4 wigs I like and maybe if you guys can help me find other wigs that would be awesome!

 

First wig I liked was this from LekkeWorld http://www.leekeworld.com/En/Product/p_view.asp?it_code=2391&B_catalog_num=88 in Goldenrod, It's very very light, but it might be nice for a more Natural look?

 

I also liked this Miruya wig http://www.miruya.com/goods_detail.php?goodsIdx=384 It as well is very light but also nice for a natural look

last i saw is this parabox wig, the color seems the best and the length looks good, but i'm not sure of the quality http://parabox.jp/wig/pw60/PW60-02-BD.html

SUIKA! She is my most favorite Touhou gal, great choice for a Dollfie.

 

I think the Parabox wig is the best, the others seem a bit light in terms of color. That one is a nice, vivid orange. They have a very good reputation so I am sure their wigs are quite nice. How are you planning on making the horns and her chain parts? The gourd also seems like it would be difficult, this is going to be quite the task but she will be epic when she is finished!

for the horns i've got a friend who makes props and accessories for cosplays, and she's making herself a suika cosplay, so i'm gonna see if she can make it but at a smaller scale and we attach it to the wig with maybe high powered magnets, but we're not sure just yet.

Excellent choice for an MDD! I love Suika! I have a thing for cute demon girls tho...

 

I think that latest wig you found would be the best. You need a nice bright wig to match the character.

Yay for Suika! I'm working on a MDD Touhou character too (Sakuya ><)!

The Parabox one looks perfect: maybe you can buy it first to work on her hairstyle!

The dress is easy to make, but you have to paint the fabric when you winish it! It's kinda impossible to find a fabric of this kind^^'

The horns looks difficult to make to me... You can do them with fimo or similia, but I wouldn't have the patience to do a proper job XD

P.S: I have to say that the DDH-04 face is the best choice if you want to work with a Volks face, but there are many nice custom head mold that can fit Suika better IMHO. Suika is a little pandemonium, she is childish and lovely, but her face is not so puffy like the mold of the DDH-04... Even if it's the only one acceptable for a childish character ><' I don't want to say that you have to spend tons of money on a custom head mold! It's so nice to see growing projects: maybe you can upgrade her head on a second time^^'

Got the wig today for my brother's Suika Dollfie, it looks adorable! I love this wig so much, gonna straighten it soon but the curls look so cute and I'm tempted to buy this for Yoko since it looks so cute on her! The color as well is so perfect and looks so true to the image the seller on eBay had. I'm planning on getting some more items from this seller so I'll be posting about it on the Venders section of my experience but here is Yoko looks adorable in Suika's wig!

 

Yay for more Touhou DDs. ^_^ I have a Yuyuko and my friend has a Cirno. I hope to see more pictures soon.
