One Year - Rika & Yuri

Last week marked the one year date for my two girls, Rika and Yuri. What started out as a curiosity turned into this community site, character inspirations for a "someday" webcomic, chance lottery entries and the surprise winning of my two girls.

 

I learned a lot over the year while in this hobby and I'm glad that these two girls have been keeping me company on my computer desk each day. I didn't have time to really do anything special to celebrate, but I thought I would take some photos of them in their new school uniforms from Kyoto 9 and try to recreate one of the images I drew that they inspired.

 

 

 

 

Rika is a fun-loving, active and upbeat girl. She's into swimming and other similar activities. She tries to not take things too seriously, but she can be serious when needed. She is caring, kind and helpful.

 

 

 

 

Yuri is coy and yet playful (like a cat). She's smart, but hides it at times. She likes cute gadgets and lacy (read lolita) clothes.

 

Last year, while I was waiting for Rika and Yuri to arrive, I drew an image to help me figure out their characters and style. This is the image that I created:

 

 

And here is how they look today, inspired by that drawing.

 

 

 

Who knows what another year will bring. Maybe more members to join the group. XD

Wow, you are very good at drawing!!! I also am quite impressed at how your girls capture your drawn characters so well. You really did a great job and portraying them the way you expressed in your drawing... Happy one year, your girls are gorgeous and you take such lovely photos.

I remember when you first started looking into getting these two and doing up the drawings. That was quite a process. But it's so cool that you stuck with your designs and made your girls into your characters, that takes some doing.

Thank you much. I wanted to get matching uniforms, but that didn't pan out. I still think they look cute, though.

Thanks! I got the gun from Nightfall Walker. Not sure what brand it is etc since it didn't come in a package.

Yup! It snuck up on me too. Considering how little time I've been able to spend doing stuff with them, it certainly feels like only a couple months. Just proves I need to be more active with them.
