Coffee Posted August 3, 2012 Hello, I just got my precious Millhi doll, but as soon as I opened her, her shoulder snapped and we noticed a crack in the other shoulder too. orz Though the biggest problem at the moment is the fact that one of her legs has gotten stuck by the hip and can't be moved, not even with force. I've tried to remove the whole leg, but I don't think I know how to do it... If anyone knows how to fix this, I'd be glad to know how. orz Mina - DDS Millhi, Lucy - DDS Melty, Sammy - DDII Sakuno, Ellie - MDD DDH-01, Niki - MDD Mayu, Sasha - DDIII Miku
XOHimitsuOX Posted August 3, 2012 Can you take a photo of the problem, it maybe easier to diagnose.
Coffee Posted August 3, 2012 Even if I took a photo, it wouldn't look any different from a normal dollfie. Her leg is stuck by the peg on the hip. There is no way to see what's causing the problem, it's just stuck. orz Mina - DDS Millhi, Lucy - DDS Melty, Sammy - DDII Sakuno, Ellie - MDD DDH-01, Niki - MDD Mayu, Sasha - DDIII Miku

There is no way to see what's causing the problem, it's just stuck. orz You can see many fixes down in the "Care and Repairs" sections here on the board for the shoulder repairs. As for that leg not moving, you may have to use a heatgun on the low settings or a hair dryer to warm up the hip joint enuff to make it so it loosens up enuff to wiggle out. It may be that the peg in the hip is too big for the hole in the leg and it needs to be sanded down. If shes an older release of the DDS she won't have the upgraded pegs with slots in them to lessen the friction in those joints. Try a hair dryer on the area and see if you can dislodge the leg, then you can see about repairs when you know what the problem is. Coffee Posted August 3, 2012 Actually, Migon managed to fix Millhi's leg, so it's now functional. It took a lot of force to get it off, so I guess Billy was right about the peg being too big. ^^; Now we instead have the problem that Migon's Saber Extra's wrist has gotten stuck and can't be moved at all. orz We don't dare to use the same amount of force on this one as on Millhi's hip... Any suggestions? Mina - DDS Millhi, Lucy - DDS Melty, Sammy - DDII Sakuno, Ellie - MDD DDH-01, Niki - MDD Mayu, Sasha - DDIII Miku

Any suggestions? Grasp the ball section of the wrist joint in one hand, and the forearm near the elbow with the other, then pull the wrist straight out from the socket. Take the hand off of the wrist first for a better grip. Make sure that your grip on the wrist section is around the wrist pivot to reduce strain on the inner parts of the wrist. It may take a fair bit of force to remove, but do not under any cirbleepstance rotate the wrist as that can cause breakage. 21 DD girls: Mio, Marina, Yui, Yoko, Nia, Lily, Arisu, Akina, Momo, Arisa, Yukina, Ayaka, Niimi, Eri, Millefeuille, Ekisu, Chitose, Miyabi, KOS-MOS v.4, Hatsune Miku and God Eater Alisa. 2B in a hopeful future. The wrist is not stuck in the arm but rather stuck so I can't pose it, I could at first but now it's completely stuck. Edit: I think I know how to fix the wrist, managed to get it apart and I think it just needs some sanding and then it should move a lot better. My Saber collection. baldylox Posted August 3, 2012 Ahh, glad to hear the leg finally came off! Before putting it back on, use some 600 grit sandpaper on the peg in the hip and sand it down so it's smoother and will cause less friction when you put it back together. Don't take off too much at one time tho, do small bits and then test fit. Hopefully yall can get the wrist issue fixed as well for Saber. PlasticFantastic Posted August 10, 2012 I wish I would have checked the newbie section sooner. A local user had a Millhi body with the same issue in the leg. She didn't know what to do so she brought the body along to a meet for the DD Doctor (Sam) to look at. Once we got her leg out the cause of issue wasn't that the peg was too large, but that there was flashing in the socket for the leg. Once that was scraped out the leg was completely fine, no modification was needed for the peg. If you don't know what flash is: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Flash_%28manufacturing%29 In the future for problems involving the frame etc you should post in the Care and Repair section - I check that one more regularly. I have every DD body available with the exception of the DDI and DD Doctor Sam has done fixes for broken arm joints on DDIII's and DDS's as well as broken elbow joints for MDD's, broken ankle joints for MDD's, and we've also done neck joint mods (replacing with coolcat parts). The only fix we haven't had to do yet is a torso snap (spinal breakage!) but I'm sure at some point we'll get a chance to figure it out. Coffee Posted August 11, 2012 Actually, right now, Millhi just keeps breaking more and more at different places. XD We didn't do any modifications to the hip peg so I think whatever was holding it back was removed when we pulled it out. The shoulder parts where the arms are attached have been epoxied and now fixed, though another part of the shoulder piece has now snapped. XD That we'll fix too.
