How many Sabers are left?

I was curious to see how many people are still waiting on their Sabers. I personally am not, but I thought it would be interesting to see if the Saber backlog was shrinking. Even though I don't know who she is other than what I've seen on the forums (I know I'm a bad geek), I'm cheering for those who are awaiting their new girls. Feel free to talk about your Saber! What made you want to adopt her? What things are you looking forward to doing with her? Is she an only DD or will she have some DD sisters to befriend/subjugate? I want to be excited with you!

 

Will your Saber stay a stock character? I understand that she is from a video game but I don't know what one it is. Some days I feel like I barely had enough geek points to join the club. Why would you want to keep her identical to her original personality? If her personality was re-envisioned, in what ways would she change? I am highly curious about this because I can't stand not being able to change something, even DD when they are so customizable, and expect that I will have almost no stock DD. Will any of the Sabers turn out to be mild mannered? She tends to remind me of Meteora, Queen of the Asteroids from Jim Henson's The Christmas Toy. I don't think she looks like her at all, but one of her lines from the movie is: "I am Meteora, knave bow to me!" and their personalities seem similar. Just to clarify, I do not mean this as an insult. I thought Meteora was cool as a kid and very brash (just like myself).

There have been several video game releases, plus light novels, manga, anime, and a movie.

 

The character designs for both Saber Alter and red Saber are from the video games, though, not the anime.

I'm a few number behind the first batch from Volks USA so I'm still waiting.

I'm still waiting too. I wish they would update us already. Saber will be my first DD so the wait is extra painful for me. I'm planning on keeping her name and buying her some causal outfits but I think her personality will be like most others. Kinda tusndere and demanding. lol but that can all change once I have her in my hands and see her.

I am still waiting on my Saber Alter v2 ; ; I don't plan on keeping her in character since I don't know much about her XD. I also have Saber Lily and her I changed her personality to reflect the fact her box was beat up when she arrived...so she has a screw loose XD

Yep. Still waiting. That's the downside of being in the US second shipment.

 

Getting 2. One will be a custom, one will keep all of her original pieces but she'll have a new name. Don't want to have a girl named after a weapon.

Waiting for Volks to come out a Saber Lily 2ver as the current price now is ex.

I'm expecting them around Christmas.

I'm waiting on each of the Sabers. I wasn't too bad waiting til now because once the first delay happened I expected mid to late August for the second round. But now that we've entered August I'm finding the wait with no news much more difficult

They're on the boat headed this way. We just have to be patient. I wouldn't be surprised if we all received our shipping notifications the week that VolksUSA is on hiatus while they update the store.

I would expect there to be quite a few Sabers left. The preorder period was one month long, and it was only a few days in when the "second batch" announcement hit. That means people that ordered during the last three weeks out of the four total are still waiting. So I'd expect there to be more outstanding than have already shipped.

 

I'm still waiting also for a couple Saber Alter IIs, though they won't keep their names. Personality, maybe, but not default name.

 

Actually, this isn't the name I'm going to use, but I've been waiting for someone to call their Saber Alter "Alturia" as a pun on the Japanese R/L confusion.

I received my Saber Extra, but I am still waiting for Alter. Extra is keeping her characther, but maybe she will get an nickname. I already have some ideas for Alter, but I will only decide her personality after meeting her personally.

 

I was hoping to get Alter in time for my birthday, but it was 2 days ago...

 

I am afraid she comes around cristmas, international packages tends to "disappear forever and after" between october and december in my country.

I'd considered naming mine "Altia" but went with Caitlin Siobhan instead since I already had a DD named Tia.

I'm waiting on mine. I emailed Volks the other day because I was tired of no news and they say by the end of the month they'll have the order.

Still waiting on both Sabers from VolksUSA, I got so tired of waiting I actually caved and bought myself a Saber Alter V2 so now I guess I will eventually have Alter twins.

I was getting worried, I'm glad it's not just me waiting. I wonder if they'll do a big pre-order like that again, it seems like it's been a challenge to fill all the orders.

This is awesome!!! I'll be at the store on the 25th when they reopen, I'll finally be able to pick her up and bring her home!!!!

I just read it and almost cried! lol I'm so happy! I start back school in September so I won't have much time to spend with her until like november when we get out for holidays but at least the long wait is almost over!

Still waiting...but sounds like she may be home soon.

This may be a silly question but i'm new to DD so i apologise in advance, but how can i purchase a Saber directly from Volks (and not through other means like Mandarake, YJ etc) because it seems she isn't available in after events/lottery or anything like that? Is there another site from Volks I need to go to?
