How many Sabers are left?

Hmm, I really like this picture... thats one thing I'm missing with Extra, a proper box to show off like this... mine got torn apart by the stupid people at UPS

 

Ouch, did they really open it up or something? Or was it just heavily damaged in transit?

After 11 months of anticipation, my Alter IIs arrived yesterday. That's one more order down!

 

I had time to take one out of the box to examine her in person before returning her to her box. I wouldn't want to leave a doll out for good right now since she'd get in the way of the hotel maids and make their job harder. That wouldn't be very nice. Can't wait to move into my house in the coming days.

Yaay Saber Extra arrived today a day before they predicted,and on top of that, I also got shipping notice for Alter today too Since I ordered Alter on the last possible day, I hope this means the long wait is almost over for everyone I'll do official intros as soon as I establish characters for them and get them suitable outfits.

I just got an e-mail notification that my Saber Alter is in. Going to pick her up this Saturday from the Volks store. While I'm there, maybe I will be lucky enough to grab some headphones and a mic for Mio during the Dolls Party 27.

My ladies got here today as well~ Their boxes are SO BIG! I'd seen pictures but kind of didn't think they would be that huge haha.

Just to update this thread, I purchased Saber Alter via down payment and was in the second batch, and mine arrived this last Tuesday.

My sabers are stuck in limbo because volksusa put in the wrong address into the ups system, and I've wasted two days from work waiting for them. I can only pray now they can redirect to my work place and I don't get in trouble with it. My feeling atm is pretty much borderline quitting this hobby. The USA store is completely worthless to me, can't win anything and this is the second straight order they shipped to the wrong address. They have the incorrect address in their UPS machine and didn't double check with the order itself so it will probably the same with all future orders. This whole saber pre-order thing along with other negative side effects has definitely taken volks south on my list. Sorry for the ranting, but o the frustration.

Yeah, Volks isn't really a great company in terms of customer care. Their total disregard for staining and their response to broken bodies has made that clear.

 

But they're not the extent of the hobby. Well unless the part of the hobby you enjoy is collecting new DDs at the lowest possible cost. If that's not the extent of your interest now that you have a few DDs you don't really ever need to deal with Volks themselves again. There are plenty of other things to do and other places to purchase clothing and accessories.

 

Just thought I'd provide a different point of view. But obviously you have to decided how frustrated you really are and if you'd rather just be done with it all.

Well guess we'll see. I'm still ok with their customer service, I had a broken part replaced easily and they are doing their best to fix the current issue. It's the fact that I need to talk to customer service to fix problems that sucks bad. Guess i'll leave it to "Fate" on the sabers, if they get to me, sweet. If not, volks is giving me a refund, which will be ok with me after this whole thing.

I'm so sorry to hear this! I'm pretty sure they will contact Volks Japan and have them send them the missing pieces in order to send them to you. Which sadly means more waiting

Thanks everyone. I am waiting to hear from them, so hopefully something will work out. If I redress *my* Saber, I can lend my husband her undies for the moment. I guess we will just see what happens.

 

BTW, has anyone got a tip for the boots? I tried getting mine on last night and the openings are so much smaller than the feet. They will not go on the leg 'bone' completely.

Many of us had the same problem. I sanded the leg pegs down some, barely any really and that made a big difference. Only problem is that also made her regular feet slide in a dn out WAY easier so now they feel loose. So if you can, try and use a small file to file down the insides of the boot tubes so they're larger or at least smoother. If you sand the leg pegs, her normal feet will be loose.

That is what I was afraid of, Billy. I couldn't think of any other solution, but I am not willing to sacrifice her regular feet for the boots.

 

For now she is wearing 'glass' slippers.

I also heard from Volks and they are sending replacements undies. They were very cool about it. No word as to when, but as long as I know they are on the way it is no problem. Thank to all of you for support.

Has anyone had problems with their Saber Alters? I haven't taken mine out of the box yet, other than to check if she had all pieces and was intact. Just curious if there's anything weird going on (like the Saber Extras have a boot problem, Rises have a tight wig, Lucy is notorious for having that crack inside the head, etc).

It was probably just my Saber Alter since I haven't heard anything about this from anyone else who got her. When I inspected her outfit I noticed that her underskirt thing.. the white part looked as though it had black transfer all over it (it was actually a light grey) and then I took her black skirt and checked that, it felt like the fabric was saturated with dye and it turned my hand partly black. I stupidly didn't take a picture of it because I wanted to wash it off asap so I could check her body for defects. So in all she was ok she does have a hand that is a little loose but all her parts were there and she was fine.

 

If when I take her out to do her welcome box opening I will check the outfit again and if it manages to transfer more dye to my hand ill be sure to take pictures.
