Sonsaku Hakufu DD!!

So Volks finally went ahead and answered my prayers and released a new Ikki Tousen DDdy girl! It's the main character from the series.... Sonsaku Hakufu!

Alright, you got me, it's just Manami cosplaying as Sonsaku. But she's AWESOME!!!

 

A few months back, Scripple helped me get another Ryomou School Uniform sans boots. And I got boots off Ebay with another forum goers help. Unfortunately Sonsaku doesn't wear the same shoes and socks as Ryomou does so I had to get creative to match the characters design. I got Rin's school shoes and Mikuru's socks to make her match up. I also used Miyuki's wig for the style and color and then used Water Wax on it for the top ahoge and the front extensions. The eyes are customs from Pupa Paradise I used before in Mai.

I knew right away it was Manami (her faceup is just too distinctive), but it is pretty trippy seeing her in different eyes. They look good though! It's kinda neat to have a change on her after so long. Sounds to me like this Hakufu is a kindred spirit to her, so it makes perfect sense why Manami had to be the one to cosplay her. Also, I am floored at the power of water wax; I've seen girls with ahoge before, sure, but never quite this extreme. Maybe if I get some I can finally give Agatha that cowlick in the back she's supposed to have. . .

It does look quite a lot like Hakufu...and they do have similar personalities

Manami makes a pretty good Sonsaku ;D (She's my 2nd fave Character) I knew it was Manami from the start and guessed it was Miyuki's wig too xD paha. You can't fool me!!!!

She looks very pretty playing as Hakufu. You did great with that wig. I think everyone knew she was Manami but hes cosplay is really cool!

Manami is an excellent cosplayer~! She definitely fits the role of Sonsaku Hakufu My husband thinks she looks great! He told me there should've been an official Hakufu DD to begin with since she is the main character (at least in the 1st series)

 

And I see you finally whipped out Kanu's sexy panties for someone to wear, good job

I love Manami so much . I been seeing lots of pictures of DD HDD-01 in the forum lately and that is making so hard to keep my promise of not having another DD for at least 2 years. I want my own Manami too or someone that looks like her

 

Well also the fact that the first DD I ever saw in a picture and a youtube video was Manami and I wanted someone like her to be my 1st DD is not helping either LOL. She was wearing a beautiful pink bunny outfit.

Yeah, I can't hide Manami's charms no matter what I change on her. I was kinda freaked out by the eye change too, I've NEVER done this before on her so it's odd to me for sure. And yes, Sonsaku and Manami are similar in their personalities altho Sonsaku can be genuinely dumb at times while Manami just plays dumb.

 

I'm also surprised at how well the Water Wax worked out! I knew it could work since I already redid Ryomou's ahoge before I tried this but it holds up really well and if you don't like it, simply wash the wig and it goes away.

Thank you! Manami has always liked dressing up so this was really fun for her. I'm glad your husband likes her too since I know he's a fan... and I agree with him, how can you NOT make the main character of the show?? And yes, I just had to have Manami wear the Kanu pantsu here since it fit the story and they're too sexy to not have her wear!

I didn't know Manami was in any Youtube videos... where's THAT at? I know I never shot any video of her...

 

But you're right about her first pics being of her in the pink bunny outfit! She came to me with that outfit and she had to wear it for a few months because it took me a long time to save up and get her more clothing.

It was a video about a BJD meet up. The video was showing a bunch of BJDs on a table, but for some reason Manami was the only one I notice LOL. I honestly don't remember if the video was BJDs and DDs together or just DDs.

 

But I asked the girl that posted the video about the gorgeous BJD in the pink Bunny outfit and she told me it was call a Dollfie Dream.

 

I tried to find the link of the video but that was a long time ago and I wasn't able to find it . I will keep looking

If it's a video of a doll meet and Manami is wearing her pink bunny set, I guarantee that's from when she was with her first owner, the girl who actually made her. I've only had her dressed in that outfit once at a meetup and I know there weren't any videos done there.

Thank you very much! When I first thought of doing a Sonsaku cosplay, there was no other girlwho could pull it off as well as Manami. She was my only choice for this. I'm glad people are agreeing with my choice! And I agree with you, Volks SHOULD have made more girls from Ikki Tousen! I'd kill for a Ryofu Housen!

Hey, she kinda does. o.o Is it silly I only watched that show for the horse? After looking up some grown-up Rainbow Brites on Google though, I can picture Manami dressing as some of those versions. Like this one: http://thenada.deviantart.com/art/Rainbow-Brite-13717588 Question is. . . who would get drafted to be the horse?

My sister used to be into Rainbow Brite as a kid. But I never tought Manami resembled her in any way. Altho, after seeing that grown up version of Rainbow Brite, I have to say RB looks more like a Sailor Scout than a DD.

 

But any colorful and skimpy outfit would have Manami wanting to wear it I'm sure.
