Keijogirl Posted August 20, 2012 I know this is probably a dumb question, but I was wondering if the girls ever changed color over time. I'm very new to Dollfie's and my only experience is with teh resins, and I know their plastic changes color with age and sometimes each batch, and that sometimes can make matching heads to bodies or getting replacement parts a pain. So, I was wondering that if I tried to get the new head coming out, and managed to get my hands on a newer body sometime down the road, would I have to worry about her body looking mismatched? I tried to search but got over 1000 results, so I'm sorry if this has already been posted x.x At Home: Kiyo, Hikaru , Nikko, Komaki, Miho, Kana-chan, Tamakits, Illya, Misa, Deku, Nao, Zana, Ciri, Aki, Alisa, Kana, Yuka, Kiki, Komaki (Oni Mode), Ai, Chili, Nagisa, DDh03, Erica, Miyabi, Jun, Haruka, Sasha, and Laila Saving for: Accessories! archangeli Posted August 20, 2012 Normal skin Dollfie Dream dolls don't change yellow the way resin dolls can over age. White skinned dolls can, but at a much slower rate than resin and it's very subtle. This is one of the things that attracted me to DD's, even though I do own a few resin dolls. However, DD's a much more prone to staining than resin dolls. So each material has it's pros and cons. baldylox Posted August 20, 2012 I've had Manami for over 2 years now and she hasn't chnaged color at all and you KNOW how much I take her out and about! I just make sure to keep her clean and so far, no issues with vinyl color changing. I've heard the WS girls can change over time but as Archangeli says, it's very slow and gradual so you may never notice. Billy I gave up counting the girls I own, they keep multiplying and won't stop.
Poofiemus Posted August 21, 2012 I was worried for a while that Agatha was changing color. But then I gave her a thorough Magic Eraser cleaning, and it turns out it was all grime. ^^;;; It was this nasty oily residue that pervaded my previous apartment. I think I need to clean both girls again, too, because where I'm living now is very dusty thanks to the freeway being just past the street. Supposedly the inner skeleton can change color slightly compared to the outer vinyl, but due to my past experience I do have to wonder how much of that perceived change is due to dirt, staining, or similar factors. In this household, sanity is considered a tresspasser.
