Ravendruid Posted August 20, 2012 Yuriko's wig Finally arrived on Saturday, but naturally right before I had to leave for a family reunion. Fortunately it cooled down just enough on Sunday to go to the park for a few minutes to get a few shots of her. I was really surprised and delighted with how red her hair turned out to be. the web site called it Chocolate, so I was afraid it would be more brown than the picture made it appear, but it was exactly what I wanted, and suits her faceup perfectly! She's so happy to finally be able to show off, now that the old, scratchy wig has been replaced with soft, smooth hair that doesn't constantly fall off. I'm already planning photo stories, trying to work out locations and poses and angles. Also, slowly working on moving our sewing room down here to the basement so it will be cool enough to work on some more clothes now that we have her hair to coordinate with. My Amity has a similar wig, her one was called 'yellowish-brown' and it's like yours but not as red. SisterKyoya Posted August 21, 2012 This is my favorite so far because of the color of her hair and how it's laying on the grass it looks like flames. It also looks like she has a 'shadow print' on her top. So cool! I have been trying to figure out what seems so familiar about this photo when it occurred to me that the main colors are red, green, & blue (RGB). I think I do too much artwork on the computer... Tamayuki is a bit jealous that she found a perfect dandelion and didn't *poof* it on her face. I'm really glad that we are finally getting the sewing in a place where I can use it and not scaring myself to pieces because of the heat. Also now that I have figured out how to affectively draft patterns in Illustrator I can finally do the projects I've been needing to do... like better underwear for Yuriko. Yes she's a white skin, that's just part of what made the red hair perfect. I try to keep her protected from the sun, especially in light of her mommy's sun allergy. So you are going to rescue her from the dreaded plumber-butt.
