White T-Shirts

This week I practiced making T-Shirts for my girls. I made one shirt a day until everyone had one.

 

 

These are shirts of the same size, but with different lengths. I had some trouble putting on Sakura's shirt over her boobs, and the lower hem stitch broke. I used a different stitch when I got to Aoi, so I didn't have the same problem again.

 

 

Here Aoi is showing off an added feature of her shirt when she raises her arm.

Such cool shirts! And your girls model them so well! And the added bonus feature of Aoi's shirt is priceless. She is the perfect saleswoman for the job!

They all look great! I like how small Aoi's shirt is. I like the scooping neckline of Sakura's shirt. Although it may be less of a scooping neckline and more of an oppai accommodation neckline. Rei seems to really like Aoi. They are all so cute together.

Thanks Alphakitty! I meant Rei's shirt to be like a nightshirt, and I thought it should be an inch or so longer, but I think it works well as is. I still need practice, theres still a few minor mistakes on 3 of the four shirts.

Cute! What kind of stitch do you use for stretchy fabric?

I'm trying to make a cotton tank top for L bust but discovered it's going to be much easier to use stretchy material, I'm just a sewing n00b so not sure how to manage it ^_^;

You're asking another sewing n00b, but I use the zigzag stitch when I'm working with stretchy fabrics.

 

My machine (brother brand) also has a "stretch stitch", which is similar but looks more like a straight stitch. Here's a post showing some of my spandex stuff, and it uses the stretch stitch:

Your swimsuits are so cute! That's exactly what I wanted to try making. Well, that and lingerie, it's just a matter of adding lace!

The manual for my machine is kinda useless, I'll just experiment to figure out which is stretch stitch so the L bust doesn't literally bust the seams ^_^;

Thanks jadepixel! Spandex is fun to work with because of the stretch. On the DDdy body, both the bust and the hips/butt can bust the seams on outfits, as I found out.

Nice job sewing on the shirts Jun97. I need to get some t-shirts eventually. Right now if I was to take similar photos it would be all the girls in pants or skirts with bras. I'm lacking in casual tops. XD

Wow, I can't believe I missed this post earlier!!! I especially like Aoi's but that may be just because I'm a bit of a perv. You really did a great job, the girls look so cute.

 

I'm curious, what did you do for a design? Did you have a pattern you were able to follow or were these all just measure/sew trial and error fittings? I need a few t-shirts and I can't find what I want at an online store and would love to sew them myself but I'm always stuck on what to start with. (pattern wise).
