atrika Posted October 4, 2012 i just tried the person I listed above for a YJ listing of Nosukeman outfit. I will let you guys know when the item gets here. she's been good with communicating, don't give her rinkya links, give her yj links. she quotes in yen, so i was pretty slow to do the percentage. Coffee Posted October 4, 2012 I use Rinkya, despite their quite high fees. I like their bidding system and I love how easy it is to buy from online stores. Their fees when buying from an online store is much better than their fees for YJ. XD And I think they do a good job packing stuff. Although I'm a bit annoyed that they sent my stuff last time using FedEx when I asked for EMS. Amara77 Posted October 21, 2012 It will take us a bit to get set up for proxying, but we've definitely started down that path . We have requested a starter kit from a local Japanese bank so that we can pay the sellers. YJA does offer a credit card option with fees paid by the buyer (which I think is more fair than PayPal charging the seller), but it's cheaper to use the bank wire option for items as expensive as DDs (anything over 10K yen). In addition to layaway, I also plan to offer the ability to trade for auction winnings... I don't know if anyone will really use that option since it involves more negotiation upfront, but if you're short on cash it might be a good way to get stuff. Wow, I didn't expect people to be quite THAT excited about the idea, but I sure am glad! Yaaaaa!!!! Layaway and trade your singing to me I can't wait!! http://amara77.wordpress.com blog and shop Spoke too soon....
fyrlandt Posted October 23, 2012 I often ask Natalie of Dollfie World to bid for me since she knows someone who has a YJA account, not sure if her proxy service price is expensive or not though hahaha
atrika Posted November 3, 2012 Like I said above i would give my feedback on the proxy i used, (aishiteru of DoA) to bid on nosukeman outfit on yj like a month or two ago. very satisfactory to me, she refunds back extras, package arrived nice and her bubble wrap smells sweet! lol. She speaks French and Japanese, english just okay. archangeli Posted November 3, 2012 I already mentioned that I've used Japonica for several purchases in the past few months and have been very pleased with his services. On Sunday I sent him a request for a BIN auction on YJA, he sent a request for money via paypal and soon after I sent payment he had already won the auction for me. I think it helps that it was 2am my time (this mid-afternoon in Japan). I've already received word that the item has arrived, and am now just waiting on a shipping quote. The fact that his commission fees are 50% off right now doesn't hurt either. Archangeli.net | Twitter: @MsArchangeli | YouTube: Archangeli
Talolili Posted December 22, 2012 I've been trying to sign up with Rinkya since a friend recommended them, but I keep getting the run around. I was able to purchase an item from a buyout listing but I can't bid until I send in more personal info. I don't mind signing the international verification dobleepent, but having to fax in my license and a copy of my credit card seems a bit much. I asked my friend about it and from what they told me, they never had to send in any of this. Has anyone else had Rinkya ask for all of this personal information? Nekopon Posted December 22, 2012 I signed up for Rinkya only two weeks ago and the process was painless. The only info they asked from me were the regular ones like my name, address, and CC information for processing. However, since I've won two auctions from them, I've been getting miscellaneous bill from them saying their system "messed up" so they're charging me extra? I'll have to clear this up with them somehow...

I tried to email the IVD form in last night, but this woman named Elaine says they need an actual signature. I decided to send in a help ticket since I can't even find a contact email besides the verification one. Maybe they'll explain what's going on here eventually. I wish you luck too, Nekopon. I used Rinkya for a good while 4 years ago or so. They've gotten really pricey since. I never had to send any of that information in, just name, address, and CC. I've totally had them tell me that their system "messed up" and have charged me more after the fact... On two occasions, once before shipping but after they received my items, and one time after they'd already dispatched the package to me... Makes it hard to recommend them when they're constantly sending along miscellaneous bills. Went to SMJ, but as another user said, they ship in ridiculously oversized boxes driving shipping prices way up. 10 CD jewel cases don't need an 18" cubed box... Debating between Celga and From Japan right now. LOVE that Celga shows you full price you'll pay before bidding.
Talolili Posted December 28, 2012 I received an email from Rinkya regarding my situation. All I was told was that I was flagged for being underaged. That really makes no sense at all, and I was even able to purchase an item listed on Y!JA earlier. I suppose I'll continue looking for more proxies, I don't feel comfortable sending in all that personal info.

Talolili Posted December 28, 2012 so you're not underaged? Got to my profile, Shinegamix. You'll see my actual age. Of course I'm not underaged, that's why I'm upset with Rinkya.

Nigoki Posted December 31, 2012 I use SMJ, but haven't bought a doll through them yet, mostly just clothes and accessories.
Hpyon Posted January 5, 2013 I made a purchase with "buyee" service today, let's see how it goes. Previously had a bit of a scare with them when I bid on an auction I didn't win and noticed that there had been a charge on my account anyways, but apparently that's just due to them checking that there's balance on the card and I was able to cancel the cover reservation from my bank. Their bidding system at least is very good since it's directly connected to the yahoo!japan interface and I'm able to place bids manually, though I would'n mind if their website had slightly clearer information and directions.. Pahsmina Posted January 5, 2013 I've used BiginJapan for my few proxy purchases. They are very fast to reply and can help you with almost everything. Their fee is incredibly low, however they only help you with purchasing Anime figurines, dolls or plushies. Lucy Harper Posted July 1, 2013 I used rinkya and felt extorted. A couple of pairs of custom eyes set me back alot... I now use noppin, they have been really good getting me out of print and hard to find books specially from sellers on amazon. They don't charge too much but the shipping options weren't as good as other places. It really depends what you want to buy some places are better than others. I only started using noppin because I had used the unoa annex site. I have not yet used the auction option though so I can't comment on that. I have found them realy helpful on noppin in regard to book searches and they have always found me the cheapest options and checked what choices I want in regards to printing invoices on box. making sure things are properly marked as printed matter. Now however I have signed up on amazon japan and you can buy direct from them and they have pages in english but you can't buy from 3rd party sellers. Mandarake http://ekizo.mandarake.co.jp/shop/en/ have there entire site in english as do amiami.com so you just sign up and use your paypal. However amiami do not sell dollfie dream but have alot of azone. Mandarake have great shipping options specially the Nakano store which has a good DHL service. I have only had customs charges with mandarake once and that was for a VMF50 doll and it was pretty cheap as DHL don't have one of those 'handling fees' like other couriers once it enters UK at least. I also use http://www.hlj.com/ and http://www.1999.co.jp/eng/ for obitsu parts. I love mandarake because I have found some great bargains on there. However because they are all stores open in physical locations things can sell out specially books. The hard to find ones sell out fast as you can imagine as they are storefront items and many people want them. I have missed out on a couple and then of course they cancel your order. They have good prices on used dollfie dreams too and some current volks items at significantly reduced prices. I finally managed to get a Cache-Coeur dress set from volks before they sold out again only to find one listed on mandarake the next day reduced price and I wouldn't have had to pay such exorbitant customs charges! I was so peeved it looked like I had been sucking lemons...
Lucy Harper Posted July 1, 2013 DJStarstryker Thats so cool - you will be able to get so many bargains living and being able to pop into the shops! I am so envious! archangeli - Japonica? do you have the details please?
