Saber's Adventure

SirNarwhal and I decided it was high time for us to do an actual story with our girls, and while we had something else planned we realized that poor Saber Lily has been neglected. ^^; Her personality still seems a bit... well, not exactly dull, but certainly more mysterious than our other girls. But it's time for her to break out of her shell!

 

Saber Lily was lazing around one afternoon with nothing in particular to do. That is, until she saw something at the end of her bed...

 

What's this? An outfit just for me?

 

Well, let's put it on!

 

A lion outfit?!

 

Saber seemed a bit shy at first, unused to wearing such adorable clothing. But soon she decided to go exploring! And the lion suit seems to be bringing out the cat-like side of her...

 

Ooh, what's in here? Something for me to hunt?

 

Uhnf, caught it!

 

Then Saber wandered outside, and noticed a curious beast...

 

Check it out! It's a kitty cat, just like me!

 

Saber looked out at the yard, and decided she wanted to go play. Before she had been a bit afraid of going outdoors, but it seems like her lion outfit is making her feel a bit more adventurous!

 

Look! I am walking through the grass, just like a real kitty! I wonder what other kinds of kitty things I can do out here?

 

Rawr! I am stalking some bugs!

 

Hehe, I am rolling in the grass! Don't you want to pet my belly?

 

Look, I got so high in this tree! Just like a real-life kitty!

 

Hmm, I wonder what other kitty things I can do? There's one thing they really like to do...

 

Eating grass!

Oh ugh, that was gross!

 

Saber was feeling pretty tired from all her kitty adventures, and decided to go back inside.

 

*yawn* Oh Mr. Nips, I am so sleepy! I had such a big adventure today, it wore me out!

 

So, after a long and exciting day, Saber Lily went to bed. Sleep well, Saber!

Thanks, I do think she had a good time today. Finally got to get a little wild! Maybe she's shy and doesn't like being too playful with the other girls?

A random fact about this shoot: the lion plush was named right after we started shooting. Saber's top just did not want to stay on and her boobs kept popping out, and I kept saying "Saber, cover your nips!" Thus the lion became Mr. Nips. =3

Haha, when I saw that comment about Albert being a cute kitty, I read it in Sakaki's voice exactly and then pictured her getting mauled by the kitty she walks past on the street. I really need to watch that show again.

That's really funny about me and Sakaki, Alphakitty and SirNarwhal. I have long dark hair, but I am a lot shorter than Sakaki. I can't resist cute animals even if them try to gnaw on me. My friend's Siberian husky is a real troublemaker but still so cute.

Really excellent pictures. Lily is just so adorable, it was nice seeing her fun side. I was going to advise her to not eat any grass but I think she learned here lesson there.

SirNarwhal's camera doesn't pick up color well (he says it makes everything look like "Communist Russia") so some of the saturation levels were changed to match real life. We don't like to adjust colors to unnatural levels, even though it's tempting because they would be so pretty. ^^; Basically, that's what her eyes really look like! They kind of glow in the light, and I've found the same thing happens with most of my girls. In natural lighting they look so alive!

I don't think I've seen eyes quite like that before, though! They have a blue sheen on them, it's gorgeous. I love it!

Yeah, Saber Lily has very unique eyes. They seem deeper than most DD eyes, like they have more layers of colors? There is definitely a bit of blue in there!

Thank you! Those are some of my favorite shots too, she just looks so sweet and almost vulnerable. It's a side of her we didn't see before we did these shots. SirNarwhal and I learned a lot about our girl during this shoot!

I think doing stories with your girls is one of the best ways to learn about their personalities. You get to see how the react to different situations. And you get to provide some fun for the rest of us while you're at it.
