Mamimi 2.0

Yep, you heard right! Mamimi has just come back from "The Spa" at Littlebearries and she's got a whole new look!

 

Ok, not a NEW look..... just a total redo and refresh of her old faceup! Just like Manami and Miyuki had done, LB was kind enuff to redo my precious little girl Mamimi for me.

 

I loved Mamimi as she was and really didn't plan on having her updated. But after seeing how much nicer Manami and Miyuki looked when they came back from LB's, I couldn't let Mamimi be my only girl without a professional faceup. So I sent her off to "The Spa" for treatments and she looks just AMAZING now.

 

Hey Mamimi! I'm so glad you're back safely! How was your Spa trip?

 

"Hi Papa! The Spa was awesome! There was a girl named Pidge there who was sooo sweet to me! We had lots of fun!"

"I feel so refreshed and new! It's like nothing I've felt before!"

Well, before we go showing off your beautiful new self, let's see what you used to look like okay?

 

"Aww! Do we have to?"

 

Yes dear. Even tho you like how you look now, I really loved how you used to look. But let's show people just so they know how much better you look now than you used to. Then they'll be even MORE amazed at how gorgeous you are now!

 

"Alright, I guess we can."

 

Cool, here we go!

 

I bought Mamimi from an artist on Flickr whose name escapes me. They kind of had blurry pics of her online when she was for sale but I could tell she was awesome so I bought her. As you can see, the faceup is pretty good but it's not clean and crisp like LB does.

Up close you can see how her eye makeup is uneven and not clean. Also, her eyebrows aren't as solid as I'd like.

And even tho she was cute as a button before, her mouth always bugged me JUST a hair. You can see how it's a bit uneven.

But now, all those minor issues have been taken care of! LB made my baby positively radiant!

One big thing LB was adamant about was keeping her looking like Mamimi and that meant not changing her blush lines. We both thought that those were kind of a signature feature for Mamimi and she needed to keep them. LB cleaned them up a bit and sealed them but she didn't change them at all and I think that was a great idea.

 

But we DID change her mouth a bit. Now she has full lips and a very slight smile to her. This worked out so well for her, I'm amazed at what these small changes did for her overall feel and look.

Thanks! And I'm not slipping.... Mamimi is my "youngest" girl and I prefer her to be slim and smaller just like she is now. So she won't be getting any upgrades to her bust. But I actually thought about that too since both Manami and Miyuki came back from "The Spa" with upgraded busts. I'm amazed you also remembered that.

Wow, what a difference! I'll admit that for a while her faceup design wasn't one of my favorites of your girls (though her character rocks), but now that I see the new version I realize just how much of that ambivalence was due to the execution. She looks fabulous now!

Heh, I understand.... I think. I always liked her faceup design but something about the unrefined look always made me want to get it redone. I never acted on it tho since I was happy enuff with it as it was. But doing more thinking on it as well as having something else push me a bit, I decided to go ahead and get her changed. And I'm glad I did too as she's really awesome now. I'm glad you like the changes and that you enjoy her character as well.

I thought I was just seeing things when I would think something was off in pictures before, but without many super close-ups, I just figured that I actually was seeing stuff. Now everything makes sense, and it makes me happy to see Mamimi so happy.

Thank you so much Mr. Cat! Yeah, her "flaws" as they were, weren't easy to see unless I got in really close to her so that's why you didn't see them often. And like I said, it's not that she wasn't good enuff before, I just thought she deserved better since she was the only girl left who had not been redone or made by Volks or a professional. I'm glad you like her new look and please tell your girls I said thank you for their kind words!

The smile is a winner! It goes much better with her personality. Also I like that the pink of her lips appears more regular pink and less 1960's chalky pink. LB as usual did a great job of keeping her looking the same, but making her face-up cleaner and more refined.

Thanks so much! I'm really glad I decided to have her smile done, I think it adds so much to her looks. And I agree about the color on her lips, I made sure we gave her a girly look without being overdone. LB does amazing work and she never ceases to amaze me with it.
