Thanks for letting me know no problem, sadly the PotD rolled over about half an hour after i made that post. i was wondering, what kind of lens(es) do you use and what type of camera? do you have a particular ISO setting you favor or do you alter it to suit your needs? do you ever use flash? sorry for all the questions, just curious how much of your style is camera-based and how much is editing work. juu-yuki Posted August 31, 2012 Gorgeous pictures! I really love your photography style and these pictures really turned out wonderful. I especially love the second from last picture. Thank you ^v^ Rise is a beautiful model so she really brightens up the photos. no problem, sadly the PotD rolled over about half an hour after i made that post. i was wondering, what kind of lens(es) do you use and what type of camera? do you have a particular ISO setting you favor or do you alter it to suit your needs? do you ever use flash? sorry for all the questions, just curious how much of your style is camera-based and how much is editing work. Ya ^^" Thats too bad. But the Miku photo is really cute XD hehe I mainly use a prime 50mm 1.8mm lens. It's good for indoor and outdoor shots and perfect for portraits. When I am not using that, I will switch to my 18-55mm for those wide angle landscape shots. The 50mm doesn't normally leave my camera though XD I just love that lens, it's good for just about anything. The camera I use is an entry level DSLR, the Nikon D5100. I don't have a favorite ISO. The lower the better but it normally hovers around 400. I never go over 1600 because my camera can't handle it. Anything below that has grains that are fixable. I don't like using flash, but sometimes I am forced to. I never use it directly, I divert it onto my ceiling with a white piece of paper. When taking my photos I make sure everything is as sharp as possible. You shouldn't be clipping your shadows or your highlights. Always shoot raw. If it looks good on camera, it will most likely look good on screen. I take about 200 shots per a photo-shoot and narrow it down to about 5-20 useable photos. I hope that helps.
