Asuna Yuuki [On Hold]

Project on hold while I wait for Volks to take my money

I am in love with the new anime Sword Art Online. Back in the days I played a lot of RPG with Ragnarok being one of my all time favorites so I can totally relate to everything in this anime.

 

Asuna Yuuki will probably be my next project.

First I need to decide on a head for her. Maybe my Lily or Sakura... or Natsuki =/.

I've already contacted one of my seamstresses so hopefully I can commissions her for the outfit.

 

 

I'll try to keep you guys updated. Feel free to throw me suggestions. I have no idea how I am going to make the sword or the shoes T^T. I might try to make a Kazuto Kirigaya to go with her... but that is very unlikely.

anyway, i would love to see how this project will turn out, asuna is sure pretty, and im sure in dd form too!!

Spent all morning getting up to date on this series on Crunchyroll (had a 4 episode backlog). I am really looking forward to what your custom looks like! I've been tempted by Asuna as well, she's so cute, but also a really strong fighter in her own right. I half expect her to end up on Volks official list.

 

Have you considered using a DDH06 for the head?

you know, I had the exact same thought on this was searching for all kinds of sources to do this, but than work got real busy and never really had the chance to look more into it. Hopefully yours will all come together well

*hugs you* III KNOOOW HOWW YOU FEEEELLL !!! It's hard to make plans when you might end up jumping the gun on Volks releases! I REALLY want to make Kuroyukihime (outfit only), but I'm anticipating Volks to beat me to it (a whole doll release).

 

BUT OMG- if Volks does SAO I wonder if Asuna will be released alone or with another SAO character?

if you've got a reliable seamstress and put the money into it, I wouldn't worry much. Volk's quality on outfits have taken a dismal drop, IMO. (i.e. Sabers "Stain Monster" and Neros poor stitching on her corset, just to name a few)

 

I've not yet seen SAO, but I don't think it'd be much of a problem to find someone to make Asunas sword or shoes...

Asuna is a very pretty character. My option character for her is Saber Lily though. Good luck in making her

Personally I don't feel that the Natsuki head fits very well (too chubby-cheeked), but will just have to wait to see how you make her.

Not really a big fan of SAO, but Asuna is very beautiful. But her outfit looks like a challenge. Hopefully your seamstress will be able to recreate her. As for head, I agree with person who suggested DDH-06. But either way, I'm looking forward to seeing how she turns out. ^^

I would consider SQlab heads but I don't like them compared to the ones from Volks. ^^" I tend to stay away from them if I can.

Update: Seems like my tailor held onto my commission for over a month and still haven't started on it. I was coming up to my 45 day grace period with Paypal so I had to ask for her a full refund. She was very rude about it but I did get back my money in the end (although not all of it).

 

This project will be on hold until I can find a new tailor.

As someone who has been having issues with a tailor recently, I can totally appreciate how much it sucks to be in that sort of position *huggles* I hope you can continue your project later on with someone else, Asuna would be a fantastic dd.

 

I know it doesn't really help anything, but just wanted to share some support.

Huh? Why not all of it though? Since she never started it, I think you are entitled to have all your money back. How very, very rude. Anyway, I do hope you find someone who takes their work seriously so we can see your lovely gal in her full regalia.

saw the sample picture and the outfit IS JUST HOW I IMAGINED IT! Not too sure about the head mold though. Either way, I am excited ^^
