Another Mariko Wig Thread [Update: New photos + wig]

A couple of wigs I bought from cotin_doll on ebay arrived today but I can't decide which wig I like best on my Mariko. For now I'm not changing her eyes. The colour in the wigs is a bit tricky to get right in photos because they also have black hairs.

 

Update: I redid Mariko's photos with different lighting and I think they get a lot closer to the actual wig colours. I also had a purple wig arrive today (thanks lulu!). I was inspired to retake all of the photos because the green wig actually looks pretty good on her in person.

I like Mariko in the blue wig.

I like the blue on both, but I think Misty has thoroughly claimed that green one! I'd say blue for Mariko it is then.

So you think the green wig and purple eyes go well together? I've been unsure about it.

I like the blue wig on both of them but like it better on Mariko. I prefer Misty's original braided wig on Misty tho, it looks best in my opinion.

I think blue and green both look good on Misty but not on Mariko. The colors on Mariko's face go fine with the pink wig but don't seem to match the blue or green to me. I'd give Mariko the pink and Misty one of the others.

The blue is gorgeous on her. But I also love the pink one. It goes well with her soft face. ^w^

My vote is for the blue, I think the lovely dark hair really contrasts well with her coloring... kind of makes her faceup "pop", in a good way, while still looking delicate.

 

... the style on the green wig totally cracks me up and I love it, though... oh, crazy pigtails... you are my weakness.

Thanks everyone! When I first made the post I was leaning towards giving Misty the blue wig and Mariko the pink wig, because I wasn't very impressed with the green wig on either girl. I've now added some new photos of Mariko, and now I'm not so sure. She looks pretty adorable in all of them!

In your new pics you posted I love the pink one on her the most. It may just be me, but I really think Mariko looks fantastic in pink wigs. Also since that is a darker pink it really brings out her lovely face-up even more.

 

I also like that last wig, the dark purple one. That one looks pretty cute on her too.

 

But she has won me over in that super pretty pink wig.

Glad to hear you like honest opinions. With the new photos I still say pink. I think that pink matches her coloring wonderfully.

I really like the pink wig on Mariko too. I haven't restyled it yet. It's really long, it goes past her knees. Currently I'm really liking the purple wig on Misty. It matches her eyes perfectly.
