The Late Show

Late one night when everyone was supposed to be sleeping, someone was still awake...

 

 

Tamayuki giggles to himself quietly hoping it doesn't wake anyone up. He pauses for a moment and looks down at the loudly snoring Dolly and decides not to worry about it. Full attention is focused again on the glow of the computer monitor.

 

 

A sleepy voice unexpectedly startles the boy, causing him to dart back into bed.

Mommy: "Tamayuki, what are you doing?"

Tamayuki: "Nothing Mommy, just laying in bed."

Mommy: "Try to go to sleep, it is 1:30 in the morning."

Tamayuki: "Ok."

 

Hearing his mommy turn over and pull the blankets up, the boy lay in bed making an attempt to fall asleep. Eyes wide open, not tired at all, stared fixedly at the ceiling. Ten minutes later he could hear the regular breathing of his parents over the ruckus that emanated from Dolly who slept on undisturbed.

 

 

The bright glow of the monitor was too tempting, drowsiness stayed away as if the light was sunshine at noon. Careful not to make a sound, Tamayuki snuck out of bed and stared at the picture on the screen in awe. Quietly he started talking to himself as he attempted to get a closer look.

Tamayuki: "Wow! That's my friend Kaylus. He is really strong."

Without realizing it he began giggling as if soda bubbles were tickling his nose.

 

 

Mommy: "Tamayuki, what are you doing?"

Hearing his mother's voice surprised him so much that he whipped around with such speed that he almost fell over. To his small relief, she was talking to him with her eyes closed and hadn't seen what he had been looking at.

Tamayuki: "Um, I was just checking to see if there was any new posts on the Boy's Club."

Mommy: "We can do that tomorrow, ok? Could you poke Dolly or something? He's snoring like a chainsaw again."

Tamayuki: "Ok Mommy."

 

Obediently he laid back in his bed, poking Dolly from time to time and smirking when the little guy wiggled. Try as he might Tamayuki was not falling asleep.

 

 

Ever so quietly he scrolled through the page of Kaylus' photos, making sure to look at each one very carefully.

 

 

Tamayuki: "You really have big muscles Kaylus. Lots of strong muscles. Will I ever look like that when I get older?"

 

 

Tamayuki tries to see if he can do model poses like his friend.

Tamayuki: "I think this is close enough."

He looks back and forth at the screen a few times to check.

 

 

Tamayuki: "Maybe someday you can come visit and show me how to be a good model too. And I would even let you give me lots of hugs..."

 

 

Once he had seen all the photos, and looked through them a second time, Tamayuki quietly tried to straighten up the desk. He knew his mommy would notice if things were out of place.

Mommy: "Tamayuki, go to bed."

The growly voice took him by such surprise that he almost let out a little yell. Without another word he darted into bed.

 

 

Sleepiness finally began to creep in once the small bit of panic had left. Dolly's snores cut off momentarily as the little guy turned over. Groggily he allowed his buddy to pull him close, latching onto Tama's hand to snuggle with before returning to a deep slumber. Delicate and bubbly giggles could be heard as the boy slowly nodded off.

Tamayuki: "Kaylus sure likes to take his shirt off a lot."

If anyone else had been awake to see, and if the light in the room wasn't so dim, the vividly blushing boy might have had a good reason to become very shy if anyone should wonder at the sight.

Ahhh, his first boy crush, lol! I love Dolly's sleeping poses!!!!

Cute story!!! I should let my wife read this post as she would apperciate the "boy crush" more than i can.

Even though the culprit in this case is a member of my household (I told him he should really stop walking around shirtless), I can't help but find Tamayuki to be so cute! And I love Dolly's sleeping poses. I really have to finish my Boys Club post...

Tamayuki has so many wonderful adventures This is much like me when trying to get to sleep. Instead of sleeping I keep logging back onto my computer or using the internet on my phone to look at stuff ^^;; And awww cute lil boy crush hehe~

Ahhh, his first boy crush, lol! I love Dolly's sleeping poses!!!!

 

Tama has complained a time or two that there should be more DD boys on the forums. I'm surprised that Dolly hasn't shoved Tama-chan out of the bed yet for how much he flails in his sleep.

Kaylus' PM came right before I went to bed and apparently I forgot to close the link. Tama-chan is so quiet most of the time that I think he pays attention to what I'm doing on the computer more than I realize. I think he is also an incurable snuggle monster. Even at the park earlier this week he felt the need to sit for a while with his head in Yuriko's lap. He cannot stand to be by himself, and when he is he looks so dejected that it's unbearable.

 

I did point out that Kaylus has a girlfriend and Tama-chan mumbled something about that he could still look.

 

I am a bit curious about Kaylus' reaction to what he caused...

 

Tamayuki has so many wonderful adventures This is much like me when trying to get to sleep. Instead of sleeping I keep logging back onto my computer or using the internet on my phone to look at stuff ^^;; And awww cute lil boy crush hehe~

 

I'll be happy once Tama has a few basic clothes to wear and I can get back to doing more of the stories I have to do. But then with more stories I need to make more costumes... Maybe I need to borrow Baldylox's cloning machine because one of me isn't enough to get done what I want to do.

 

The thing about Tamayuki's story really cracks me up is I used to do this when I was in middle school but I would watch the Three Stooges. I would sit really close to our faux woodgrain tv and have the volume turned up just enough to hear it but not wake up my mom who's bed was less than 5 feet away. Sometimes I could get away with it and other times I was easily busted.

 

Tamayuki has spent plenty of time having to deal with Yuriko squeaking and squealing over the pics of other girls on the forums. He thinks she's kinda silly/foolish because of it too. For Tama girls only seem to come as one type, the sisterly kind. As for me, I'm not a girl I'm just his Mommy. Still wondering if I should be insulted by that or be happy.
