2nd Annual Dollfie Dream Halloween Party!

We got all three of our packages out this morning and should arrive at their intended destinations within 10-12 days. Our kids had such fun putting them together and Tama-chan didn't want to quit. I hope everyone takes lots of fun photos when their surprises arrive!

I think the treats you made were quite lovely. The portraits you made were very beautiful. I wish I could draw as well you.

Tama-chan got his treats sent by Katnaper yesterday and had started to open the box before I got home. Needless to say the box didn't last long. He was so totally stoked to get holiday treats from his friends and we will get a few pics this weekend of the goodies. I think he even hugged the cards.

 

Thank you Katnaper and gang, it was a lot of fun opening up everything and had a lot of laughs after my worst day this quarter. I would have waited until this weekend to open it and do photos but I seriously don't think Tamayuki would have let me, especially with his name on the box. He is already talking about the thank you cards he wants to make and a few other things. He's so excited that I think feeding him sugar would calm him down.

I'm glad they got there safe. Everyone kept bugging me to check if it got there on time. like I control the postal service I hope Dolly liked his treats the boys thought of those ones up by themselves.

He LOVED them, especially the skeleton. First thing he did was hug it, but he said he wasn't hugging it, he just couldn't hold it any other way because of the size. Sure looked like a really big hug to me! Tamayuki made his dance and thought that was pretty funny. Anymore details than that will have to wait until this weekend. Stupid homework. Been at it 5 hours already today and have about another 4 hours to go and a half night's sleep if I'm lucky.

I've recieved two wonderful treats in the mail and I feel super bad about it because the stuff I had ready to go was WAY below par for what I got. So I'm redoing my stuff and will be sending them out a bit late.

 

I apologize for being so slack with sending out stuff but I originally thought we were just sending out cards. So now that I've seen what others are doing and what I got in the mail, I can't just send out the cards I had ready.

 

So please be patient with me while I regroup and make the trick or treat packages better for my 3 people!

Naiomi's present from Nekopon arrived today and we couldn't be more pleased. Naiomi's picture is just stunning and we can't stop staring at it. I personally adore pencil drawings more than any other because of the softness they inherently have, it is a seriously under-appreciated art style. It just looks so much like her, even down to the feathery eyelashes (my original thought for her was to have actual lashes.) It even has a Chipette Jeanette from the 80s vibe going on. I so totally approve because Naiomi constantly reminds me of her!

Naiomi has been trying all afternoon to decide if she will hang her portrait in her bedroom or in her sewing room once she has either one. She is thoroughly delighted with the monarch butterfly barrette and promptly put it in her hair. She was really touched to receive such a pretty necklace and told me, "Mama, as if finally being home with everyone didn't make me feel loved enough, I now have a necklace like a lot of the other girls on the forums. Now I really know I'm special."

 

We will get some photos done this weekend to show off Nekopon's adorable drawing!

Hee hee, I don't feel quite so bad now, thanks! I have them all together and such and I will be mailing them out tomorrow. The two US ones will be mailed out Priority Mail so the recipients will get them before Halloween next week with no problem. The one international package I have may not get there before the 31st tho so I'll PM that person and apologize to them for it. But it will get there!

 

As for my stuff, I got 2 packages and the contents were amazing! I took pics yesterday of the appropriate girls opening them and I'll have those pics up in the next day or two for people to see. Thanks for the awesome goodies yall!

Got all three treats today! Haven't opened them yet, so will probably do so tomorrow after work while there's still some degree of daylight for pictures. Looking forward to it though!

I was able to ship my packages out today so the people in the US should see them by Friday or Saturday at the latest. The International one will be a little late but you should still see it within 10-14 days.

 

I've put up a thread with the package sent to Sprout already and tomorrow I'll post the Mashiro one.
