Elisabeth and Sango's One Year Anniversary!

Alright, I admit I'm a little late with this story since I adopted these two in August of last year. But with my new job and other things going on, I've had little time to do photoshoots like I wanted. So finally I got to do this one which is kind of important to me since these two girls were adopted from my good friend Salica. I was extremey lucky to have been able to adopt these two and I still would like to thank Salica for letting me do so!

 

And now, let's get started on their story!

 

I woke up a little early to set things up for them but they were already in the kitchen!

Well, you two are up early....

 

E - "Morning Papa! Sango is doing my hair because I slept on it all crooked."

 

S - "She kept wriggling around in bed all night and messed it up so she needed a good brushing."

I was planning on setting some stuff up today for you two but since you got up before me today, I'll have to just make due.

 

S - "What were you planning?"

 

Don't you girls know that a certain special day just passed?

S - "I'm not sure."

Silly girls.... it's your one year anniversary with me!

 

E - "Yay!! One year anniversary!"

 

S - "It's been a year already? Wow, time has flown by."

And because it's you two's anniversary, I got you both something VERY special.

 

E - "You DID??? Really??"

 

S - "Oh wow. I didn't expect this...."

Here Sango. This is a custom made kimono just for you.

 

"Just for me?"

 

Yes, no one else can wear this but you. It was made especially for you."

S - "Umm.. that's an Obi, not a hat Elisabeth."

 

E - "An obi? What's that?"

 

S - "It's like a belt for the kimono."

 

E - "It looks like a hat to me."

Another pair hits the one year mark.... I have to agree with Sango..... time DOES fly right on by. But at least it flies by with two adorable girls following along.

Elizabeth with the obi on her head was too cute. Though I think I've been watching too much Doctor Who lately--I saw it, thought of a fez, and of course heard the Doctor's voice in my head saying, "I wear a fez now. Fezzes are cool." Sango looks lovely in purple, btw; I think she ought to wear that color more often.

I agree with you about the "hat". As long as she's happy, it's a hat. And we knew Sango looked good, and now she does too. Rei even complemented her on it.

I'm so happy with the brocade fabric! It feels so nice and looks wonderful. Sometimes it even changes colors in the light. Anne, the lady who made these for me, found that fabric at a local store but these fabrics were on closeout sale so she grabbed what she could and took all that they had.... which wasn't much. So we don't see that much around here either so don't feel too bad.

I was thinking about if the birthdays are clustered together or more spread out. You have quite a few girls now. Do you have many winter birthdays? I feel like there are quite a few in summer/fall.
