So has volks come out and given a release date for the Xenosaga girls yet? I remember only seeing a vague fall release window mentioned.

You mean when they'll be shipped? I do believe they mentioned it'd be around September or something.

I figured as much, truthfully I kind of forgot I even had her on preorder! Time certainly does fly.

And for some of us it drags like the last few days of school before Summer vacation... Urg... even after all these months I'm still bad at waiting. Often I'm in a state of mild confusion because Raven and I talk about the dolls frequently, but not seeing anything but a few (hopefully accurate) pics months ago for such an expensive purchase, it doesn't seem real. I don't even have any huge plans on when my Kos-Mos gets here other than take photos. That is such a weird state for me because normally I have tons of plans.

Kos-Mos, the most expensive name I've ever bought.

Hurm... yah... My brain hit critical mass and had a meltdown. I'm finally getting back to the point where I feel like I can socialize without having debilitating panic attacks. Other than that and things have been great around here.

One thing I can say about the long wait for our pre-order girls is it has given Raven a chance to figure out what kind of personality Momo will have. I'd be lying if I said that I hadn't prodded him more than once with anime girl types that are a bit rambunctious. Even if Raven only has 2 DD, I didn't want him to choose such mild personalities that he would never know what to do with them. Yuriko has been rather disappointed in the fact that her sisters don't act like many of the others on the forum, so she has taken up collecting Monster High dolls that she can snuggle all the time. Momo will make the biggest difference to her and it will be fun to see what happens.

It has been great having such an extended time to save up, but the down side being that all the other DD we have that are merely floating heads have to be postponed. Perhaps it's a buffer against Baldylox Syndrome? (How many girls does he have anyway??)

So now I have an affliction named after me?

COOL.

I was beginning to wonder where you had gone as well. It's great to see you posting again tho, I'm glad you're back up and running!

As for girls, I'm up to 22 now and holding. I say holding because even tho *I* think I'm done with my family, other people don't. Every time I've said "No more girls!", someone pops up with a deal on a girl I can't resist. So while I'd prefer to keep my family where it is, a small part of me..... wayyyyy back in my brain.... is whispering to not hold out much hope on that number staying the same.

I never intended to drop off the face of the planet with no warning, but it does happen from time to time. Part of the joy of being me I guess. This last time around just happened to be about the worst in about 15 years.

As for girls, I'm up to 22 now and holding.

Dude, you can't even hold 22 girls at once! I have a hard enough time trying to carry 4 without it turning into a bundle of arms, legs, and glasses. I seriously can't even picture how much space 22 DD occupy even when they are bunched up together. Having that many completed girls is much better than 4 completed and 5 floating heads... Heads are hard to snuggle.

Raven and I started watching the Xenosaga anime a little while ago, and so far Kos-Mos seems like kinda a grouch, badass, but still a grouch. (Granted I think we only saw the first episode and the last pic in my head is when she's acting like a fly on a windshield...) I think it would be good for Dolly not to watch that show, otherwise he might get way too excited when she gets here, thinking that she's going to blow everything up. Poor guy would be sadly disappointed with the reality that my Kos-Mos is going to turn into Miss Lottie. I regularly remind myself that once she gets here, its only the beginning because of how much work I'll have to do on her. She's one expensive work in progress. One of the Kos-Mos photos just popped up in my mind. It's been a while since I stopped and thought about how pretty she is.

I wouldn't be surprised if he'd take you up on that challenge of holding 22 girls at once.

It might include a lot of ribbons and knots to hold them together...

And Billy's girls might even enjoy this very much, at least some of them

Why do you think I wrote that? I mean, uh... I doubt Billy would want to endanger his girls and their lovely makeup jobs just for the sake of an epic entertaining interesting picture. no photo, no proof... Besides, Manami might pass out from being buried under a mountain of boobs.

Sheesh! You guys are pushy aren't you? But to answer the main question, I *do* think I could hold all 22 of my girls at one time if I had help loading them up in my arms. I have pretty long gorilla type arms so I think I could wrap them around everyone pretty nicely. Placement of the girls would be key tho. I'm not promising anything but I *will* write this down so I don't forget about it.

Since you can't picture 22 girls and how much space they occupy, here's two pics for you! The first is where they stay every day:

I'm willing to let go my COMPLETE Xenosaga outfit (including extra hands and knife, while eyes and wig are missing) from Motoko Yamamoto's split. It was the cheaper around, price is around $350, I don't recall very well >_

This was my wish as well, I'm making sure I have money set aside before I ever preorder or do a lottery again!

It is definitely confusing not knowing the more specific approximate date when the payment is due. Will it be late August? September? October? November?? I try not to stress about it too much, but I really don't like being confused when it comes to money.

I'm really happy to have had a shot at getting my own limited girl first hand from Volks, but the wait has been killer. I think from now on I'd rather just get the girls like this from the aftermarket because I haven't enjoyed the huge amount of patience that I've had to deal with. 6+ months waiting for a girl to be made is difficult for my attention span to hold on to. I love Kos-Mos and I wouldn't change preordering her for anything, but I'm finding that I regularly forget that she is even vaguely on her way. Since her clothing is so utterly different than what I will make for mine, I really can't think about it much until she gets here. I don't even have the luxury to decide what colors will look good with the new skin color. Not to mention being able to decide on a hair style for her, if her red eyes are what I'm hoping for or if I need to find new ones.

Kos-Mos, if you are supposed to be some superpower android why can't you defy time and space? I'm tired of waiting and I'm getting cranky...

Yep, that's been our plan. I think part of it is I'm getting nervous just because I don't know how exactly this works since neither Raven or I have bought DD this way before. I'm also a worrywart.

i have won their lottery before. they will mail you asking to pay. after payment they send to you.

depending on the amount ordered they might have to make multiple shipping batches. its a preorder so you will get her.

My first doll Haruka was a traumatic experience. i won the lottery. i wanted to pay but then paypal decided to die. i mailed them explained the situation and they gave me extension. so dont worry it will all work out
