shinegamix Posted September 5, 2013 I'm so amazed by how the Asuna doll was rolled out right away, but the Xenosaga dolls are a loooooooooooooooooong wait. you dont know how much time they took for the asuna doll. they might have already made some way before they announced her. she wqas a fixed number after all making my triumphant return
SisterKyoya Posted September 5, 2013 she wqas a fixed number after all I think this was a really major factor, plus we have yet to find out how many of the Xenosaga girls were even ordered. Preorder girls are always different than lottery girls, hence the preorder aka pre-production. Even the pics that we've seen of the girls are essentially the working models aren't they? With the Miku preorder already stated that it will be a year, that's what I'm starting to expect with KosMos & Momo yet still having the funds ready at any time. Personally I'd much rather get them before the Christmas chaos, but even the last Saber preorder didn't start shipping until November wasn't it? For me, just accepting that it is going to take until December just makes it easier for me to wait and not obsess about them and forgetting other things I need to be working on. ~Sister Kyoya Forum Blog: Badger Pocket Tales (Family story from the beginning) | { Old Family story reboot: Start Here! } Follow me on Twitter, Flickr & Instagram
chien Posted September 5, 2013 I'm all for preorders. I think it's a wonderful way to get a doll. Yes, quantity would definitely be a huge contributing factor. I'm just perpetually shocked at the timeline of preorder dolls-- it reminds me of how I felt when I first saw the trailer for Up and thought, "That is so far off! Just thinking about the wait is excruciating." :p Nothing wrong with Volks taking the time to make as many gorgeous dolls as demanded. Up turned out to be one of my favorite Pixar movies too, haha! SisterKyoya Posted September 17, 2013 I have been fighting with myself for weeks about not coming here and ranting because all it would do is make me look like an ass. But I can say that going all these months without a single mention about our girls from Volks is honestly disheartening. Now with all the Miku hoopla and still no new info on the Xenosaga girls, I really have a lot of mixed emotions. This could just be how Volks does business, but frankly it stinks. I wish that happy customers mattered to them but it feels like time and time again they show that they could care less and just want the money. As for me, I want my first limited girl to be home. I've done everything right and I'm tired of feeling like I'm somehow being punished. ~Sister Kyoya Forum Blog: Badger Pocket Tales (Family story from the beginning) | { Old Family story reboot: Start Here! } Follow me on Twitter, Flickr & Instagram

See Saber, the wigs, the 07 head... If you look at other preorders there don't seem to be a ton of updates until right before they ship unless there's a HUGE delay like with Saber. I also think their comment about having to fix the Vulcan cannon's weight was an indication there would be a delay in shipping. I know what you mean though, I'm going crazy over it, especially when the rate keeps getting better from the US standpoint and I want to get it while it's really close to or better than 1:100. Jezrah Posted September 17, 2013 Yeah, I wish they'd at least give us an estimated month that we need to pay in. Or if they're just gonna keep us waiting, they could at least give us some new blog pictures, to prove they haven't forgotten about us. On a side note, anyone want a Dragon Tooth sword? It's the last unclaimed part in my split.
DefectiveAngel Posted September 17, 2013 Didn't they estimate sometime around fall? Technically the first day of fall isn't until September 22nd. I know this wait has to be killer and no updates is making it worse. A little post on their blog every now to keep people informed would be nice. Volks just has a bad habit of taking on too many things at once to make sure they are getting as much profit as they can. By doing this focus can easily be taken away from other projects. These next few months will be busy for them. There is the October/DD gathering, the Miku pre-order, probably a November outfit collection, and a Dolpa in December. On top of shipping out these girls, which my guess will be around the end of October or November.
Misuka Posted September 17, 2013 I don't really blame them for the amount of focus they are giving to Miku right now instead of the other dolls, including ones in preorder limbo. They have to make money and Miku is going to be a hot seller. She is going to outsell KOS-MOS and Momo by quite a bit.
gaiaswill Posted September 17, 2013 Miku has a more accessible price than KOS-MOS too, so that will also help sales. Where my Luka?!
Valkyria Posted September 17, 2013 I can't wait for KOS MOS to come out, she's gorgeous!

In Japan Autumn is officially from the 8th of August to the 6th of November. I didn't know that, learn something new everyday. For some dumb reason I was thinking of how it is in the US. Which is insanely stupid of me since Volks is in Japan. I think I should just crawl back under my rock now from making such a fail statement.

misskale Posted September 20, 2013 actually. its the same here fall starts at sep 22. if the japs have different dates then does it mean they celebrate xmas in spring? Frankly, as long as they start shipping by February I'd say it's still around autumn. I would however definitely be crying hot bitter tears if they take that long. YukiTsubaki Posted September 23, 2013 a schedule update would be nice. I'm afraid to spend when I don't know when I have to pay. I'd like to hear something too. Waiting (notso) patiently because I can't wait to get her here and start making clothes for her! I've got so many ideas!!!
SisterKyoya Posted September 23, 2013 Even when my Kos-Mos gets here, I still have a long road to converting her into Miss Lottie. It's hard not running out of steam on the whole idea because of this gawd awful long wait so I'm a bit stumped with what to do with her in the meantime. Still totally undecided what to do with her extra stuff, can't decide if it's worth the hassle to sell it or keep her as a fullset (if I don't redo her faceup). If I could sell off her outfit and handgun for $700 I'd do it in a heartbeat even though I know it's asking a lot. Normally I really wouldn't care but there is a very specific girl I could get with it, but I'm afraid that she might not still be available once I could save that up by other means. Heck, I'd be willing to throw in a $50 gift certificate for my DD clothing store once that's all ready to go if it made a difference to anyone. No matter how much I look at Kos-Mos' outfit it just doesn't interest me. So if anyone is interested- Kos-Mos' outfit, handgun, and $50 gift certificate is up for grabs for $700 USD. I'll get it posted in my store (Naiomi's Closet) once it opens later this week or next week. PM me if you would like to be sent the link once available. ~Sister Kyoya Forum Blog: Badger Pocket Tales (Family story from the beginning) | { Old Family story reboot: Start Here! } Follow me on Twitter, Flickr & Instagram
misskale Posted September 25, 2013 Huh... someone is listing their preorders on YJA. Since I never paid attention to it, were people selling their preorders for the Saber orders too around this time?

Auction starts at 80,000 JPY At home: DD Sakura Shinguji, DDS Yukiho Hagiwara, DD Asuna, DD Rina Ogata, DDS MOMO, DDS Ranko Kanzaki. SakuraDreams Posted September 26, 2013 maybe trying to fool newbies. or just miku fans that werent into dolls b efore... i know they sold their asuna preorders some time back YJA! are pretty serious business. They make Ebay look pretty much easygoing. Then again you have to pay within 6 days for a preorder with no fixed arrival date and a best estimate of Autumn. That's 3 months, not counting the shipping delay and actual transit time to the Auction seller. At home: DD Sakura Shinguji, DDS Yukiho Hagiwara, DD Asuna, DD Rina Ogata, DDS MOMO, DDS Ranko Kanzaki. Waiting for: Hatsune Miku Preordered: Ranka Lee Countdown to Hatsune Miku.
Screaming Angel Posted September 28, 2013 Grr I was hoping they would have at least given us the date we have to pay off Momo or Kosmos by now. I need to know how much time I have to save up!
SisterKyoya Posted September 28, 2013 I just want to pay for our girls. That's all I want at the moment. If I could do that I'd be happy if they just got here before Christmas. Raven just preordered Miku and I'm happy for him, but I truly do not envy the wait he has ahead of him... ~Sister Kyoya Forum Blog: Badger Pocket Tales (Family story from the beginning) | { Old Family story reboot: Start Here! } Follow me on Twitter, Flickr & Instagram

If they have my payment they'll deliver me a doll at some point. I'd feel less stressed if I could just pay and know she's for sure on her way.
