I completely agree. Some people don't trust a company with their money, but I trust Volks. If they have my payment they'll deliver me a doll at some point. I'd feel less stressed if I could just pay and know she's for sure on her way.

 

Exactly. At the moment with no word of what's even going on it's hard not to worry that Volks won't decide some morning that the project just isn't going to work and the pre-orders are canceled. Granted I don't expect that would happen. The money we've saved would be enough to get all of my work in progress DD completed (7) and being able to outright buy the girl I've been stalking. Even so, that just isn't a replacement for Kos-Mos & Momo.

 

I can definitely say that if another preorder girl comes up in the future that sparks my interest I'd surely have a long second thought about ordering her because of what it's been like waiting for the Xenosaga girls. Luckily for me I usually only want the limited girl's sculpts or girls that I can only get on the aftermarket. I just hope that when the girls finally DO get here that it will be worth the wait.

Well, I think it's pretty cool of Volks not to charge any deposit or even request credit card authorisation or create a billing agreement with PayPal. I don't know of any other company which does this, although companies like HLJ allow you to preorder items and cancel them right at the last moment before item release. That's still different because here Volks manufactures these items themselves and doesn't order from a wholesaler/distributor. I really don't mind the wait. Often much of the allure is in the wait.

 

As long as my DDS Momo-chan will be coming at some stage, I'm satisfied.

I'm looking for a backup taker for Kos Mos' s outfit/armor from my split. Nehelenia has a chance at her grail doll and I'm trying to help out. The spot includes the outfit, armor, and one set of black hands for 25935 yen.

I'm a lot more calm about the wait than I thought I'd be. I'm not too worried about it honestly but I would like to get her home at some point.

 

This just gives me enough time to make sure I have enough saved up for her.

I'm bummed I missed these girls, but my wait is just begining for the Miku dolls I ordered. I also appreciate Volks not needing a down, and the wait time is perfect for me. It gives me a whole year to save. I can't wait to see the new arrival pics of these girls as they are coming home. I don't know which one is which, but the girl in the cool armor....I may have to track one of those down after market......

It's just great because it will likely ship during my trip, which means she'll definitely have to be sent to my work.

I wonder if they had enough orders that they'll still be billing people close to Christmas.

I would imagine they'll ship most of them out in mid November but my theory was they would only make enough to cover 80% of the pre-orders expecting cancellations then after the first payment period make any remaining dolls to cover whatever remaining orders which would ship late November

Thank You Misskale! Although I was slightly hoping for new pictures of the girls (darn Volks!) I am sill very glad to hear some official news. If I remember right, mid November was when the last Sabers were shipped too. I had been hoping that Kos-Mos & Momo would be here before Thanksgiving because for us that's when we do our yearly photos to see how big our family has gotten. I'm just happy to finally hear some sort of good news. It's easier to be patient that way.

My mom and I both have October birthdays as well! Mine's on the 8th and her's is two weeks later on the 22nd. Happy early birthday!
