My Kos never updated after she reached customs, but suddenly she showed up today! Off to do a box opening...

Sure, I have to get a feel for what she looks good in anyway.

 

 

I have a question for anyone else that is receiving/unboxing Kos Mos. One of the black hands, the one that holds the knife, has a distinct line across the knuckles, and the others don't. I can't tell from the book whether it's supposed to be like that, or if it's a defect. Does anyone else have this?

But for Kos-Mos, I'm really looking forward to blushing her her face, and those lips are going to be fun. I can't say how excited I am to see how she turns out. Her default faceup looks like it should for the character, but rather boring compared to a lot of other DD. It shouldn't be hard to make her look happy either. The default just makes her look really sad to me.

 

Lots of pictures? That's not going to be a problem. I figured that since Kos-Mos & Momo are not standard girls that pic spam would be ok on my Flickr account. Normally I try to keep the amount of same looking pics to a minimum and I reduce the image size by 50% or 25%. For the new pics of the Xenosaga girls I was going to upload the full sized images after I do my normal color & lighting corrections (usually to take the yellow & gray cast out.) I'll post plenty of them here so people can see, but not every last one I upload. I'm definitely going to get a ton of shots of the blank sculpt. I'd be nuts to wait this long and pass up that chance, that would just be stupid.

Yeah, Kos-Mos looks sad to me too. I can't wait to see how your happier-looking gal turns out! And I will appreciate every single ounce of pic spam you post, haha. It was you who did that turnaround of an 07 head, right? I'd love to see another one of those for Kos-Mos!

Well no shipment confirmation & the order status at Volks site didn't show any activity, but this showed up today so many of you in the same situation might be in for a surprise.

I never got a shipping confirmation, but today a huge box with MOMO showed up! The box is genuinely massive, and I'm so excited to open it when I get home in an hour~

I haven't tried putting on her gear since this is my first priority:

Nothing at our door yet. I keep hoping for tomorrow, but Raven said he expects them on Thursday.

Ugh, my packages usually clear customs on over the weekend but this time it looks like customs just RECEIVED her today. Waaah~ And the worst part is that I know the mailperson won't even attempt to deliver her, so it'll be another day after she goes out for delivery before I'll be able to pick her up from the post office. :/

3 hours wasn't too far off the mark for me. Think it was a bit over 2 hours for me, but I also switched out her eyes. If this was someones first Dolfie it would probably be a nightmare suiting her up. Really feels like people could have problems with parts breaking, the many tiny pegs that hold it all together.

 

 

Looking at this photo I see her collar came undone, don't think you wanna move her around a lot once together.

I have an 07 head meant for Kiyoteru but Anouc did the male faceup. I need to get his eyes finished so I can take pictures of it, but he'll still be bald. I modded an 05 head and did the faceup for Lucas however. Even side-by-side the two sculpts can look quite similar and I often have to think about what one is what sculpt number

 

Gosh, Kos-Mos really is the prettiest of the more realistic sculpts in my oppinion. I still think her nose looks big, but I love it. Thanks for the new pics Leadcrow, the color of her skin looks much more like it should than the Japanese blog links did. Jezra I'll make sure to check out your post once we get to open our girls. I just don't want to spoil the surprise & fun of seeing everything myself first.

My Momo is in customs and I'm waiting to get a letter from the customs so I can make customs declaration. She is so pretty in pictures and I can't wait to get her. I think Momo is like older Maria U and I really want to take pictures of them together.

 

Kosmos looks too good in different wigs . I've had to invent flaws in her just so I wouldn't feel so bad that I could not afford her. Only thing I've got so far is that her head dome seems weirdly shallow ^^;

Still looking for Momo!!! Also may be willing to trade kos-mos if someone doesn't want to sell Momo but may trade

So I finally got my shipping notice! KosMos, Momo and 2 hand vulcans. That is going to be one huge box.

KosMos looks very gentle so I found another candidate for the killer outfit

 

Kos Mos really looks quite impressive in her full set! Definitely an eye catcher when you walk in the room! I love her blue eyes, congrats to those who have them so far!
