Payed for kos so Saturday but still no word from volks. How long does it take me to ship? Never ordered from the international site

boo. makes me feel better at least (in a way lol) guess it gives me time to make her a non staining outfit since i dont have a body suit

His and hers actually...lol. As a proud dollieh-daddy to almost 40 girls (combination of Volks DD/DDDy, Volks/Obitsu hybrids and Obitsu 60/50), I very happily claim one set for me. The character KOS-MOS has been instrumental in getting me into collecting these beautiful girls in the first place, so there was no way on this earth I could pass up the chance to have a 1/3 scale KOS-MOS and MOMO come home to me. All I need now is a Volks original Shion Uzuki and I will be an extremely happy collector.

That, I wouldn't be able to resist. I love all of Shion's costumes, too, so I'd be happy with whatever version of her they chose to release.

Still no sign of Kosmos and Momo *sigh* I tried to contact Volks but I'm still waiting for a reply T___T I know they are only slow but it was a lot of money (and the 30 days that paypal protect me are over soon @__@)

 

A question to everyone who got them and paid with Paypal:

Was the handling fee(paypal fee) on the invoice thats supposed to be on the outside (or inside) for the custom?

If anyone is wondering what the seam on the hand looks like...

 

 

And yes, the picture in the assembly manual has it too, but Volk's 'talent' with photography attempts to hide it.

I wonder if they made that hand in two parts so they could airbrush it black properly. Note how the fingers curve, I imagine it'd be hard to paint properly under there if it was in one piece.

Seriosly!? No matter how you look at that it sure looks like a design error.

I don't think so. I'm 99.99% sure the hand is molded from black vinyl.

 

The more I look at it the more I think it's a result of how vinyl doll parts are manufactured. My guess is that if they had molded the hand in one part, the curved fingers would have made it impossible to remove the hand from the mold.

Anyone tried to part the two parts of thr hand? Maybe it's like this cause it's in two pieces so you can open the parts, place the knife and then close the parts together. Just a theory

Hmm that's a thought, but I don't recommend anyone trying though. When you look on the insides of the hands through the base, there doesn't seem to be any special grooves at the joint part, so its is likely volks simply bonded the two parts, with glue or some vinyl bonding agent. If that's the case, you might need to glue them back if they got broken apart.

Yep. Although I still can't understand why it couldn't have been done more seamlessly.

they are basically the 08 hands right?those are seamless so there shouldnt be any reason why these cant be.

They are very much like the large version sword holding hands, but the index finger and thumb are closer together. I just think it looks sloppy and I don't know how Volks thought no one would notice when it doesn't match the other hands.

Oh wow, that seam is really unattractive. >__< I was not looking at KOS-MOS promotional photos regularly, but I do not remember seeing anything like that on her hand... I wonder why the ones that people received had this, or if like Sister Kyoya said that it always had it but they used their "talents" to hide it. x__x

What attracts more duty in Greece? Toys or hobby items? Maybe Mr Bored-Customs-Man will take pity that Momo's just a big happy toy for a kid somewhere?

Ha! My MOMO's in the void. She's in that part of EMS space where Japan Post has lost tracking, and my own Post Office has still not picked her up.

Maybe Volks will do Hibiki Tachibana and Yukine Chris from Symphogear.

Hmm... I'm not sure. The one time I've been seriously nabbed was with a resin (a fullset fairyland minifee) for which I was charged a total of 170 euro, approximately 25% on her full price + shipping. On the other hand I've received a much bigger, much more expensive box from Luts containing my super senior delf + several other things which was declared at full value and I still didn't have to pay a single penny, so I suspect it might be a matter of luck too... I'm definitely hoping they'll just think she's a toy and let her go quickly since Christmas is around the corner, though! xD That will be just wonderful~

Much to my surprise they both arrived today . I never received shipping notification for either via Volks and I paid for them roughly two weeks apart so I was definitely kind of surprised they arrived together.
