Xenosaga III x DD

 

I believe this deserves it's own thread for news from now on. As, generally they do take a bit of time to actually release the doll...usually.

 

Well, I know where my money will be going soon enough. Come on KOS-MOS...or even better T-ELOS~! I really want Volks to do another tan DD! D:

 

Also, possibly a pre-order? O: I really hope so.

hmmm... XS3 is a bit of a pickle really.. and a odd choise in the trilogy to be honest, since among more serious gamers is the weakest link in the series. (more of a movie than a game as Id personally call it, but I was still impressed).

 

Kosmos 4.0 is a bit of a elaborate beast considering accessories, as archangelis custom was proof of.

However youd look at it, the price would be substantial I guess.

 

The remaining question I guess would be, will the possible second be Shion, or MoMo. (Who's designs personally peaked in episode 2, but thats just me)

I personally think it might be T-ELOS as a second doll, since she's kind of a "pair" with KOS-MOS and they seem to be the most popular 2 girls from III. Her or Shion, MoMo never really seemed popular enough to warrant a doll (though she's cute!). I'd really be happy with any of the girls but T-ELOS would be amazing since we'd finally have another tan DD.

I think you forgot about Xenosaga 2, which essentially killed the series. The failure of XS2 is what made them scrap the plans for the 3 other games and end it off with XS3.

I don't know anything about games but I loved the character design of KOS-MOS for many years. I am resigning to needing one if not both.

I played some of the first Xenosaga, but never got into it as much as Xenogears. I'll be looking forward the the DD of KOSMOS though. Always liked her character design.

besides the character design, I'm tempted more to see a new tan DD if they decide to do T-Elos. For me, it will all fall on how their sculpts turn to be

I'm so excited for this.....I really hope its pre-order even though we may have to wait a long time for them!!!! I am going to watch the anime to get in the mood!!!!!

Be careful; alot of ppl say the anime is bad. The games contain alot of FMV's so you might be better off youtubing those. So much that there was an extra DVD containing several hours of videos from the 1st game as a way to catch up to the 2nd game.

 

I do wonder how they'll handle the android girls if they do them since they are a mix of human features & robotic/armor bits. Seem like it'll have to be very custom if they want to remain true to the game char.

The anime is mediocre at best assuming you never played the game, since one wouldn't know where the anime starts to deviate from the game. But yeah, to Carmen171, it's best if you just watch the cut scenes if not play the game.

It's not bad for what it is - an adaption of a long RPG. The thing that bothered me the most actually was the animation wasn't so great.

 

The game is, of course, far better though.

I also have the same doubts... i always loved KOS-MOS but I'm not sure how splittable will be her outfit in case it's her and not any of the other girls. Maybe there will be pieces like Saber Extra's armor boots.

Xenosaga 3 was the first video game I ever played and is still the best one IMHO.

 

If anyone has ever followed my posts of wishes, you would see that Xenosaga DDs have always been tops.

 

My first custom doll that I ever created was KOS-MOS (Barbie).

 

My husband collects dolls as well and his holy grail has always been KOS-MOS. That is even his online avatar.

 

This is our anniversary and I think the neighbors heard him shout when I told him the news.

 

It is so exciting on many levels. One of which is that Volks rarely releases DDs that are not tied in with a game/anime release. Does this mean we will finally get HD remasters of the game on PS3? *faints*

 

I am just happy to hear the news. I just know that Kossy has to be the main selection. I know that T-Elos is popular (never understood why) and I first said I wouldn't buy a doll of her, but I am dying to have a tanned DD. And anything Xenosaga would be cool. I would love to see Shion (version1 is best) and MOMO (version 3 is best) as other selections and their swimsuits, along with Shion's research outfit and white shirt.

 

I am just excited here. A great anniversary surprise.

I'm assuming, seeing as this has perfect timing, that this will play out just like the Sabers did. Does anyone remember how long it took us to get pictures of what was coming (designs to be precise) for the Sabers? I know Volks mentioned in DD blog that they will have the site up shortly at least.

 

Also, am I the only one laughing at the fact that there was a rumor about a re-released Sasara around this time last year, but then the Sabers made that all disappear? XD

It was about 2 weeks between the Fate/Extra announcement and orders opening up, pictures appeared only a few days before orders (though we did get pricing a week after the announcement). Hopefully it will take the same amount of time!
