Xenosaga III x DD

Was thinking with my girlfriend that maybe we should set up a petition or mail into Volks and ask them to change Kos-Mos's hair colour to a lighter shade of blue? Does anybody like her hair colour as it is? o.o

i'm gonna try to save up for Kos Mos... she's definitely on my list now.. ^^, finger crossed,, i hope i will get her!!!!

I've never played the Xenosaga games, so as the dolls themselves I think they're really pretty, but I doubt I'll be entering for them.

 

I really really like Kos-Mos' face though.

I was doing a cost comparison this morning since up until the prices were announced for KOSMOS and MOMO the most expensive DD (by retail price) was Saber Lily.

 

Her and KOSMOS cost the same amount at ¥99,750

 

So it's a tie for most expensive retail price!

 

 

The pictures are quite nice. I want to see a close up of MOMO's face, KOSMOS is very pretty.

It's definitely MOMO for me I think she looks a lot like a grown up Millhiore with more defined mouth. So far I adore everything about her!!! Kos Mos is kind of ok-ish, she does look like Alna with a thinner nose, but Alna has prettier lips.

Hasty comparison of what I think is sort of a scale of what I get reminded of from roundest to pointiest.

 

 

MOMO and KOS-MOS are on either sides of Alna because I end up feeling they look similar.

I actually end up feeling like both MOMO and KOS-MOS look similar to Alna. Just with MOMO in a different age range.

Wow, I'm really underwhelmed by Kos-Mos. But then again, Ver. 4 Kos-Mos has always been my least favourite outfit. Ah well. I might still get her and get another head for her (there are a few other heads I love, such as Beatrice and Mari, some of which don't have TOO scary a price in the secondhand market). But then again, I'm crazy obsessed with robots and mecha girls (as my resin doll and Figma collection can attest to), and part of this obsession was inspired by Kos-Mos, so I can't NOT get her.

 

Momo turned out surprisingly cute! I'm not really in the market for a DDS, but if I was she'd probably be coming home! She reminds me a bit of MDD Cirno.

KOS-MOS!!! She is so mature looking! I LOVE her sculpt but can't justify that price, if Volks USA was going to offer her then maybe I could, but through the international website shipping may be a killer.....I may have to get in on a split for her head and body.... *thinks*

...wow I don't want either of them. .____.'' I just sold a Alna, and KOS-MOS is hitting far too close to her for me to be comfortable with. I actually didn't end up liking how Alna looked and seeing KOS-MOS and the fact it was the first thing that crossed my mind... Unless Volks can produce more pictures that somehow convince me otherwise...I think I'm gonna say I'm good. MOMO from what I can tell makes me think of bigger smiled Sakura Shinguji, so I don't want that either.

 

I will say, KOS-MOS accessories came out reaaaally nice, and I pretty much like everything other then her face. >.<;; And is it just me, or did they really tone down her presence? I feel like they should have been doing the opposite and emphasizing it... How disappointing.

I love M.O.M.O.'s design but I'm not really interested in Kos-Mos so far. Nothing about her is screaming "Want!" M.O.M.O on the other hand...

I just totally remembered that Kos-Mos is cast in Soft White vinyl, which will make my plans of hybriding her a lot more difficult. *sigh* I guess there's always airbrushing?

 

Just a reminder to anyone who may be wanting to try and grab just her head in a split: she's not in a typical resin colour. ^_^;

Just so you know, she's made of vinyl not resin...^^; Also, Volks is already planning to sell the parts so that you can build the body in Semi-White skin, so no worries actually for folks looking to just get the head.

When I first saw the character photo's of Momo and Kosmos I was certain that I wanter Kosmos. But there is something about her face, I just don't know what it is. Now I want Momo, she could pass as Haruka's little sister

I feel the same way! It would've been super if she even came with her equipment Bow. Maybe they'll release it later... maybe.

And to answer that question they aren't released yet. They'll be releasing them soon, but they haven't given a defined date. I would recommend just keeping an eye on Volks. They'll definitely update the DD page when they plan to release the parts, but I wouldn't say plan to be able to get them in a order with KOS-MOS.

Mmmm, I want to get a Momo close-up before ordering.

I *quite like* KosMos but for 100k++ I think I'll just pass over her.

I am not very exited with her face. I love her armor though. It's perfect. The colours seem weird but volks always edits the colours of the photos :S

If you want to go for KOS-MOS, and you're in the US, we won't have any real idea of what the outlook for our economy is until MAYBE January 15. If we're lucky the exchange rate will be about the same or better, if we're unlucky then it could be like buying bread in Weimar Germany

Wow, hadn't thought about that. But I think at least for ordering Volks USA, they will have to set a USD price and stick with that. If Volks Int prices in USD then it'll be the same as well.

 

I think I'm safe from these two, both are lovely but I have a large family and a high must-have threshold. But, I definitely want a girl in the new semi-white color! It just looks so nice in these photos
