Xenosaga III x DD

I maintain that I WILL be getting KOS-MOS. Unlike others here who are underwhelmed by her, I'm the opposite. I'm absolutely smitten by her, I also love Alna, although I get different vibes from each of their faces in spite of some similarities.

 

MOMO seems cute, but I maintain my stance of not wanting her, as she was never really a character I liked much in the games.

 

KOS-MOS and 2 hand-vulcans... my wallet is going to hate me, but I don't care.

well i havent thought of exchanges either. what you could do if you has the dough is exchange them to yen now and sit on it for a year. but as long as the economy doesnt change it should be more or less thesame. us currency always stays strong. i mean look at their debt counter. while when that happened at some european countries (piigs) you saw the euro drop like crazy. so us res no needs to be that worried

I just realized the ONE problem with charging us in Fall 2013. Exchange rates.

 

If you want to go for KOS-MOS, and you're in the US, we won't have any real idea of what the outlook for our economy is until MAYBE January 15. If we're lucky the exchange rate will be about the same or better, if we're unlucky then it could be like buying bread in Weimar Germany

 

I actually thought of that on my way to school, haha. Here's hoping the exchange rate will become more favourable!

Yeah, doing that thorugh PP and making it so the Yen balance doesn't change (isn't used for non-Yen purchases) would work.

Wow Momo came out better than Kos Mos at least I think so... easy pass, plus I'm poor q-q

Kos-Mos really does remind me of Alna, especially with the blue eyes in. I can still see many differences, however between the sculpts. If you didn't want Kos-Mos to stay in character, you could make Alna her sister.

I am LOVING the new semi-white body color. It's amazing!

 

Momo is cute but her face sculpts reminds me heavily of Nanoha and Fate for some reason...

 

Really on the fence on KOS-MOS, definitely will want more shots of her. Many have noted she kind of looks like ALNA which I think it's more due to the fact that her face sculpt is based more on Western features and less on Asian features which many anime characters typically follow (even if they aren't Asian!)

 

Looks at least I will be ordering Aoka for sure at least.

To me she looks like the love child of Alna and Beatrice XD she is very lovely. I would love that outfit for my fiance.

I'm not a fan of their KOS-MOS. While she is pretty, it just doesn't look like KOS-MOS to me.

 

Momo does look tempting from what I can see, though better pictures are needed to make sure. Worst case is that I need to find a split for her outfit

I think they should have used the 3D model in pretty much all of their marketing instead of the 2D art because I think that is what threw me off when I first looked at these photos last night. Especially because their sculpt is pretty much 90% accurate to the 3D model.

 

I feel better about them now though, the initial shock is over. Haha~

It is true that they used all of the 2D art, but they did the same for M.O.M.O. and the DD look very little (facially) like the 2D version (thank goodness).

 

I am not sure what they were given by the licensee for pre-sale marketing. But I doubt it was game footage.

I'm still interested in KosMos but looking at around $1500 for her plus accessories I'm not sure yet. That's a very nice PC, a nice big screen TV, airfare to Asia, trip to 3 conventions, 10+ PVC figures... The profit margins must be nice for them...

Mmmm the more I see KosMos the more I'm in doubt if buying her or not <.

The first thing that came to mind when I saw KOS-MOS was Alna.. quite a resemblance imo..

I still love kos mos will be geting her so its time to save up.

I think both look really nice! I think I'll only try to preorder Momo though... I doubt I can afford both and I like Momo more I think. I can wait to see closer pictures

I think KOS-MOS looks similar to Alna just because the two are quite different from other DD faces. I see more differences than similarities myself.

 

I was kinda disappointed with KOS-MOS at first, but seeing the comparison with the in game art of her, they did a great job. She looks really close to the 3D game art, while improving on her features as well. But, I wish she looked more like that figure instead ^_^;;

 

And MOMO is very cute (that 2D close up of her looks really awful, though, ha ha)

 

Well, I wasn't planning on buying either, I just wanted to see how they turned out! I'm looking forward to seeing what owners will do with them.
