Uwaah~ Momo is so cute! Kosmos looks stunning too, she's more versatile that I had first thought~~ I hope they keep posting these pictures, it makes the looong wait bearable!

Momo is such a lovely doll (I would love to make her Ranka from Macross Frontier), but she's just so pricy... I understand why she's so much and all, if I could afford her I would so get her ><. She's so tempting though!

Hmmm right now I am kind of thankful that I couldn't order Kos-Mos. The most recent pictures just aren't doing it for me. There's something about the sculpt.. I'm not sure what it is. Oh well.. I still look forward to seeing what others do with her! ^__^

Ah, Kos-Mos is growing on me. If I could get her at the price of a regular girl, maybe -- but with all that gear that I'm not even slightly interested in? I'll pass.

Kos-Mos is growing on me also but every time I look at the price I just can't bring myself to click the pre-order button. Few more hours to decide I guess....

I finally figured out what bugs me about the blue-eyed Kos-Mos. The color makes her look like they turned her head into a fishbowl, filled with ocean blue water. *waits to see the goldfish swim by...*

I was having second thoughts about MOMO too... But then I figured, best not regretting cancelling in the future when everyone shows us their awesome momo pics!

Like shinegamix said, there are a few people on the forum I think who just want the doll itself so maybe you might ask around if anyone is willing to do a split.

Lovely ladies!!! just got back from my vacation.. very late for this event, what's the guesstimate price for shipping in handling for this event shipped via EMS to CONUS/CAN?? with taxes.. anyone has guesstimated it already? just a rough estimate will do~ thanks

Kos-Mos for me should be ~1200$ plus ~90$ shipping plus ~30% customs and tax.

 

This has been the rough estimate I've been going by (minus the customs tax) just to make sure I have enough. This is my first completed girl I've bought in a single piece from Volks, and I've never ordered from Volks international either. If I think about it too much I turn into a nervous wreck. I don't want to be scrambling the last minute so I'm also working towards having it all saved out by the beginning of Aug. since I don't really know when Volks thinks the beginning of Fall is.

 

So based on today's calculations:

Kos-Mos- $1112 + $100 s&h

Momo- $690 + $100 s&h

Both girls: $1802 + $200 s&h

 

I rounded up on the numbers because that's how I always deal with money, but I also figured that it doesn't hurt to save extra. It was also a total guess on the shipping to because I have no idea what it will be.

Last spring, when I bought Natsuki v1 from Mandarake, it was 5400 yen for EMS shipping from Japan to US. KOS-MOS will surely cost more than that due to weight, but shouldn't be anywhere near $100. If you want to estimate high to be safe, $75 is plenty good, IMO.

 

Should be approximately the same for Japan -> Canada, I imagine. Canada Post isn't supposed to charge customs for dolls, but if they do, you'll want to make sure to build in extra to your savings just in case.

Man, this is gonna be a good year for Xenosaga fans. Project X Zone for the 3DS just got a localization announced, so we're gonna see more Kos-Mos (and T-elos) soon!

Oh, they need to just get on with remastering the originals for PS3.

I logged in today for the first time in quote awhile (sparked to do so because of seeing some of Chien's awesome work on tumblr) I just love Kos-Mos! I honestly have a lot of trouble with dollfie dream licensed dolls because I'm not that knowledgable on Manga/Anime/video games from all over.

I'm more of a surrealist police procedural television show watching, listens to music with lots of horns and sometimes banjos (and sometimes both) and thinking it is indeed takes a village to raise a child (or more importantly the village, the place the child is raised, has a very large impact of a child.. That being said I learned that form my actually parents.... Who both studied rate tire and city planning) kind of person.

I really want to get a semi realistic, or at least not super manga-esque dollfie dream and go about styling it more like a western cartoon character, with handmade eyes to reflect as such....

I loooooove Xenosaga so when I heard they would make this KOS MOS, I got so excited. Sadly, we had a lot fall on us at the time and I could not justify her.
