So others have this weird seam line on a black hand, too? I think it's weird that one hand is like that but the others aren't.

 

I emailed Volks to ask about it.

 

I dunno if this was answered, but my KOS-MOS extra hand is like that too. I personally think it's normal as if they couldn't mold that particular shape in one piece so they did it in two & glued them.

 

I'm still wondering about the area in the yellow circle though. I think it maybe have been meant to be this way since I don't notice any glue. Seemed like paint was only keeping it together before it snapped apart when I tried to attach the straps. It will hold if you press on the top half but not very secure.

The chest piece is a flaw, there's no precedent in her character design or even in the function of the phase transfer cannon that comes out of that piece in the game for it to be like that. It's a stationary piece. Definitely contact Volks about it.

You really should! I put off armoring her up for a week for the exact same reason, and guess what? I found that Volks forgot to send the those itty bitty gold parts for the thigh strap.

I asked around was told they were supposed to be in a random bag taped right under the plastic of the dragontooth blade, but mine just didn't come with it. Totally would have missed that if I didn't get my act together to dress her up.

So any defects,just email them (with photo's) and they will send you a new part? Or you have to send the entire doll to them? Kinda a hassle (if you have to include all the VAT into it...)

depends on defect. usually they ask and send the defected part only

i washed the black bits. lotsa color came on the catchercloth. still after 3 washes

I've had her wearing the stocking and gloves for a 24 hour period and they haven't stained. I'm not keeping her in her default outfit anymore tho just incase.

One last funny-bones getup shot before moving towards the original concept outfit...

I washed her tights, and didn't notice any dye coming off of them, so I went ahead and have been keeping them on her for a couple days, now and have not noticed any staining. Her shoes, however, are stain monsters. She definitely will only be wearing them with the tights or socks. In fact, her shoes are leaving marks on just about everything they touch, including the paper we use for a backdrop.

 

I haven't had the arm pieces or the corset on her much at all, so I can't say for sure about those, but so far I don't think there have been issues with the skirt.

Personally I just don't trust her default clothes so they are still in the box. Miss Lottie is standing barefoot on my black desk but I have paper under her feet. I just love her too much to risk it. Even after more than a year and a half I finally found something that left stains on Tamayuki other than his shoes. Before then he seemed to be impervious to them.

The thing that baffles me is that they have to be lined because of how a shoe is made. How hard of a choice is it to go with white than black?

Haha, my Momo Chan's just been sent out by Japan Post. Momo's used to traveling on the best of spaceships, this time it's the cargo hold of a passenger airliner. Oh well, things will get better.

I had my Momo dressed up for about two days before the 'Dressy Alice set' I won off ebay arrived, so she's now wearing that hehe! Didn't notice any stains when I undressed her but I'm not too bothered really as they will most likely be covered.

 

I have noticed that her head is huuuge compared to my other girls though and am wondering what size wigs I should get for her in the future.

I'm kinda surprised that Momo's outfit didn't stain. That large print on her tights would've made me me paranoid.

I'm just a little worried about the head size though since the head will be going on my MDD body... ><;;; so I hope that will be fine since I haven't seen anyone try that yet...

I certainly hope not! xD It wouldn't really suit the character I have in mind to move to a larger body either so I am not sure what I would do in that case as I love her way too much to just sell or trade her...

Momo's outfit does fit over a body stocking as well. You can't see the stocking at all and its not bulky looking. Mines corset was a snug fit, but it did go on. I just checked her and so far no transfer on the stocking or her.

Momo has been in her default outfit for a week and nope, no staining.

On the other hands Kos Mos outfit stained within 24hours. Her black pieces are still sitting a water tub till this day.

 

Take note that I live in the warm tropics and humidity is at its max because of monsoon season, so that makes colour transfer happen a little easier.

If you need a body size in between an MDD & a DD, there is always the option of an Obitsu body. They have plenty of sizes in that middle range.
