baldylox Posted September 9, 2012 It seems like forever ago I actually had a kimono/yukata for each of my girls.... of course that was when I only had FIVE girls. I always wanted to have a kimono for each of them but soon after my 7th and 8th daughters arrived, my source for kimonos suddenly dried up. So I was left to fend for myself and try to find them elsewhere. Then my maid outfit fascination took over and I wound up putting all my energy into getting those for each girl. After that goal was achieved, I suddenly found myself wanting to start getting kimonos again. Luckily, my source for the kimonos finally returned and filled my order for 4 kimonos that were owed me since LAST XMAS. Yeah, almost 9 months in waiting for them..... kinda like Saber! But just like Saber, the wait was worth it because these turned out to be beautiful! You saw a sneak peek of the ones Elisabeth and Sango got already but now you get to see them modeling their outfits! And as a bonus, I'm also sharing Mashiro and Yukino in their kimonos! Please enjoy! DSC_7474 by balldylox, on Flickr It seems Sango found a basket and new friend. DSC_7476 by balldylox, on Flickr Mashiro is really excited have a kimono of her own. DSC_7477 by balldylox, on Flickr These two look like they are ready to go to a summer festival! DSC_7480 by balldylox, on Flickr "This kimono is very nice Papa. The obi even matches my hair and eyes." DSC_7481 by balldylox, on Flickr "Plus, the fabric is extremely well made. I love the dragons in it." DSC_7482 by balldylox, on Flickr E - "Show them the back of your obi Sango!" S - "Oh yeah, the back has a nice bow." DSC_7483 by balldylox, on Flickr DSC_7484 by balldylox, on Flickr E - "Lookit mine next! Look!" Elisabeth is also super excited about her kimono. DSC_7485 by balldylox, on Flickr "See how mine is the same as Sango's but different? I have yellow and pink dragons! They're so cool!" DSC_7486 by balldylox, on Flickr "And I have a pretty bow on my belt too!" DSC_7487 by balldylox, on Flickr Well, I'm glad you two like your outfits. S - "Thanks again Papa." E - "Yes! Thanks Papa!" DSC_7489 by balldylox, on Flickr M - "Me next! Me next!" Y - "Wow, you're all sorts of amped up aren't you?" DSC_7490 by balldylox, on Flickr M - "Of course! I've wanted a kimono for like ever!" Y - "Hee hee, well now you have a nice one to show off!" M - "I know right?" DSC_7491 by balldylox, on Flickr "Just look at the lovely bamboo patterns! And the salmon color is so nice!" DSC_7492 by balldylox, on Flickr "And the obi has sakura branches on it with blooms!" DSC_7494 by balldylox, on Flickr "I even have a place for my tail to come out! I'm so happy I can show it off instead of hiding it under my dresses!" DSC_7495 by balldylox, on Flickr I like the details on this obi a lot. It not only has another sakura blossom on it but it has a few dragonflies attached. DSC_7501 by balldylox, on Flickr "And did you notice the obi matches my eyes? Isn't that awesome?" It does match pretty well, that's cool for sure. DSC_7502 by balldylox, on Flickr "I'm so happy with it Papa! Thank you!" DSC_7503 by balldylox, on Flickr Ok Yukino, now it's your turn. "Cool! I like this kimono, the feel and fit is way nice!" DSC_7504 by balldylox, on Flickr "It has some really flowery patterns in it but they're still pretty." DSC_7505 by balldylox, on Flickr "I also like this color since it almost matches my eyes perfectly." DSC_7506 by balldylox, on Flickr "And the obi has sparklies all over it!" DSC_7507 by balldylox, on Flickr "I also have a cool bow on the back." DSC_7508 by balldylox, on Flickr "I'm really happy we finally got these." DSC_7510 by balldylox, on Flickr Alright you bunch of cuties, let's line up so I can see all of you together. DSC_7511 by balldylox, on Flickr M - "Can the camera handle this much cuteness?" Y - "I think the camera can but I doubt Papa can..." S - "True, he seems to be bleeding again already." E - "Don't worry Papa! Pan-kun will make you feel better!" cubester Posted September 9, 2012 Your girls all look really lovely in their Kimonos. They were indeed worth the wait. :
scripple Posted September 9, 2012 Boy is Mashiro all kinds of excited about her kimono or what? That's great to see her so happy and I think the cutout for her tail was a great touch. All of your girls look so nice. Now you just need what, five more? Back on Mashiro though, I wonder if her excitement about this would get my kitsune all excited about having a kimono with a cutout for her tail? Sadly I doubt it as she seems to prefer REALLY big tail cutouts. It's worth a try reading this to her though right? Check out my new DollFun website. battrastard Posted September 10, 2012 Nice to see them wearing something I know you've been waiting so long for! It's exasperating, but quite worth the wait, they're gorgeous! "Madness takes it's toll, Please have exact change!"
Ravendruid Posted September 10, 2012 WOW!!! They are all so beautiful. I have to say that my favorite of the kimonos is Yukino's blue floral pattern, but all of them are lovely and go so well with the girls. It was well worth the wait, both for the kimonos and then for the pictures. Sango looks too precious with Pan-kun. baldylox Posted September 10, 2012 Your girls all look really lovely in their Kimonos. They were indeed worth the wait. :3 Thank you very much! Boy is Mashiro all kinds of excited about her kimono or what? That's great to see her so happy and I think the cutout for her tail was a great touch. Yes! She was super excited about this because she likes the traditional look of the kimono and I made sure she had a tail hole so she could show off her tail and not crush it under the robes. I'm really glad you liked this since you have two kitsune to clothe. Thank you. All of your girls look so nice. Now you just need what, five more? Thank you sir! And no, I only need one more kimono to complete the family. Sprout will need one but it's hard to find mostly white ones.... Back on Mashiro though, I wonder if her excitement about this would get my kitsune all excited about having a kimono with a cutout for her tail? Sadly I doubt it as she seems to prefer REALLY big tail cutouts. It's worth a try reading this to her though right? That's a possibility so I'd show Kitsune and see what she thinks. The hole on Mashiros kimono is very small but thats because she doesnt have her tail permanently attached like Kitsune does. So I see why she would need a bigger hole in her clothes. Nice to see them wearing something I know you've been waiting so long for! It's exasperating, but quite worth the wait, they're gorgeous! Thank you sir! I'm glad you like how they look. WOW!!! They are all so beautiful. I have to say that my favorite of the kimonos is Yukino's blue floral pattern, but all of them are lovely and go so well with the girls. It was well worth the wait, both for the kimonos and then for the pictures. Sango looks too precious with Pan-kun. Thank you very much! I also really like Yukino's kimono, the colors and patterns fit with her well. Pan-kun is pretty popular now.... Sango likes him but I think he may go to Reiko eventually. baldylox Posted September 10, 2012 I can never let Kimberly see this when she arrives. She'll be demanding I get her one as well. They look amazing. Hee hee.... DD's do love their kimonos! Thank you for the compliment. They Look so Pretty, I hope i can buy a kimono for my girls soon XD Thank you very much! You can find kimonos for sale online and thru Etsy. I know a place on Etsy called "Aria Dear" that does pretty nice ones for cheap. The fabrics aren't as nice as these but for like $10 each or less, those on Aria are a pretty good deal. They look amazing. I'd love to see your girls all dressed up in a kimono brigade one day. Thank you! When I finally get the last one I need for Sprout, I'll make sure to do just that! In a day or so I'll be putting up pics of Saber and Reiko in their new kimonos. Oh, very nice! I love the dragons on Elisabeth's and Sango's. Yukino and Mashiro are looking good too. Thank you sir. While I like the ones on Mashiro and Yukino a lot, the brocade dragon ones on Elisabeth and Sango are my faves. Those are just so cool looking in person. I do like the shorter type kimono ( not sure of the proper name either ) and I actually own one of them. It belongs to Miyuki. I bet it took a LONG time to dress all four girls too Fantastic they do look from your hard work Thank you very much sir! These aren't hard to put on the girls really. They just have two ties on the insides to hold the clothing over. Once you have those tied, the obi really helps hold things together. And I don't have to tie any obi, these are all velcro. So to dress all four of themmaybe took me 20 minutes? Mashiro's took the longest due to her tail having to fit thru a very small hole in the back of her kimono. ChibiJenHen Posted September 12, 2012 These are beautiful! I think, though, that my favorite is Mashiro's. The purple obi with the Sakura blooms is so cute! But the first two are lovely as well, and that blue one is such a lovely color... Oh now I can't decide which I like best! Very pretty girls in pretty kimonos, thank you for sharing!
