gaiaswill Posted September 10, 2012 Hidden joints are discussed here. They're pretty flexible, especially compared to most resin. viewtopic.php?f=8&t=111 I don't know anything about interchangeable parts with DDIII though.

mitsuki Posted September 10, 2012 You can swap the arms of a DDII with those of the DDS or DDIII to increase flexibility. You can buy DDS parts from Volks USA if they ever restock. Here is the link to the arms: http://www.volksusa.com/ddop0041.html You can buy DDIII parts and DDS parts from Volks International is they restock: https://www.volks.co.jp/page_ex.jsp?CONTROLID=SC0040&BUSINESSID=InitDisp&jancd=4518992394008 https://www.volks.co.jp/page_ex.jsp?CONTROLID=SC0040&BUSINESSID=InitDisp&jancd=4518992386270 Here is a link to a video of how to release the secret joint on a DDII:
mitsuki Posted September 10, 2012 Ok thanks! I tried pulling a little at first but was afraid to break her >_< It can be really hard to pull the joint out. Warming with a hair dryer can help.
Amara77 Posted September 11, 2012 The flickr link didn't work for me T_T but thanks for the hair dryer suggestion Is there any place you hold or pull specifically? So the DDIII bodies are more flexible? I've read that somewhere before. http://amara77.wordpress.com blog and shop Spoke too soon....

Amara77 Posted September 11, 2012 Yup it totally worked! YAY! It helped having the video I know that there pretty sturdy but the internal skeleton breaking scares me a little. Once you know how much to pull it helps. Thanks so much!! http://amara77.wordpress.com blog and shop Spoke too soon....

Once you know how much to pull it helps. Thanks so much!! That is the interesting thing. The DDII is really sturdy and rarely breaks. The DDIII and DDS bodies have been surprising in their tendency to break. We are wondering if they changed the formulation of the material used to make the parts. They have been making improvements to the DDIII and DDS so they won't break so easily. I am glad the secret joint worked for you!

I don't want to start a diff topic on this thread, but that's even scarier! perhaps I will just get a II body instead of saving for the 3 http://amara77.wordpress.com blog and shop Spoke too soon.... RaveOfNightmares Posted September 11, 2012 If you were to swap the DDII arms for DDS or DDIII ones, just remember that the DDS arms are a bit shorter than DDII/III arms and may look a little off. 21 DD girls: Mio, Marina, Yui, Yoko, Nia, Lily, Arisu, Akina, Momo, Arisa, Yukina, Ayaka, Niimi, Eri, Millefeuille, Ekisu, Chitose, Miyabi, KOS-MOS v.4, Hatsune Miku and God Eater Alisa. 2B in a hopeful future.
