MOAR Kimonos! XD

Heh, you didn't think the last four girls were the only new kimonos I'd gotten did you? If you did, you'd be wrong!

 

When Anne sent me the last four kimonos, she also sent one to my sister for Tsubaki. So the old one she used to use was no longer needed and she gave it back to me in trade for a pink swimsuit setup. That meant I only needed two more kimonos to complete my girls set. And luckily, my buddy Nicole happened to have a really nice setup for a kimono that was made by an Etsy seller named "Aria Dear". She brought it with her for the beach meetup and we tried it on Saber. Saber really liked it so I bought it for her.

 

So now I only need one more kimono, for Sprout, and my collection will be complete! So while I try to secure one for Sprout, I figured I'd let Reiko and Saber try their kimonos out and do some modeling. Please enjoy!

This was actually the very first kimono Anne ever made! It's a simple design but the neat fabric makes it really cool.

While she was posing, I noticed a really awesome shine to Reiko's eye. So I snapped a pic of it and it turned out very nicely.

LOL! Looks like Reiko isn't intimidated by Mz. Nero in the slightest! Guess that lil bit of Manami might just

give her a wicked imagination if she decides to teach her a lesson, too!

Quit giving me more reasons to like Saber... The pic makes her look like she has really chubby cheeks like a chipmunk. *Contemplates pinching them but quickly realizes that once the hand was withdrawn it would be short a few digits.* The bow on her kimono cracks me up because it suits her so well.

 

And Reiko is super adorable and the color of her kimono is just stunning. The first few pictures makes her look like she's trying to keep her distance from Saber. I don't blame her.

Oh I love Saber's kimono~! the fabric pattern reminds me so much of home!

I used to have similar pattern too, actually come to think of it almost everyone I know

from where I come from has it, just different color. This gives me an idea to go get some fabrics on my next trip home! we use the fabrics for our daily wear baju kurung~

I agree with Battrastard that Reiko isn't intimidated by Saber at all--if anything I can picture her rolling her eyes at Saber's commentary instead. No wonder you had these girls model together! Elizabeth would probably be cowering in a corner, but Reiko can totally handle it.

 

Oooh, a kimono for Sprout. That'll be tricky, but I'm sure when you find it, it'll be gorgeous.

Nope, Reiko is very much like Rei in that respect... not much fazes her at all. I don't think Reiko would attempt to do anything to Saber tho, she seems very reserved so far. But if the right cirbleepstances arise, I think the Manami in her may show up and take advantage of certain situations.

 

Thanks about the kimonos. Anne made the first one but Saber's is made by an Etsy seller called "Aria Dear". They normally don't make full kimonos like this tho, this was a special deal my friend had made for one of her dolls that didn't work out like she thought. So now Saber and I benefit from it!

Hee hee, chubby cheek Saber would most certainly NOT let you withdraw a hand with all digits intact. I'm glad you like her style choice tho.

Thanks! While Saber doesn't really bug her, Reiko takes her cues from Rei and avoids problems by distancing herself from them when she can.

Nope, I just got Reiko together right before the beachmeetup and I didn't want to reveal her there because I knew I'd be posting pics of the beach stuff well before I had my intro story ready for her. That's one reason I brought Rei along instead. You'll see Reiko up close for the Halloween meet!

It's odd, she's NEVER this loud unless Yoko's nowhere to be found. Otherwise, Saber's pretty mellow with onlythe occasional outburst. I do agree she brings quite the bit of fun to the family tho....

Nope, Reiko takes Rei's stance on things and distances herself from possible problems when she can. Now had Saber shown a bit more skin here, the Manami side of Reiko made have made itself known and Saber might have been groped or something.... LOL And there's no way Elisabeth would have posed with Saber. She and Sango still have a small grudge against her form her initial intro shennanigans. Sango is willing to let things go but poor Elisabeth is still a bit scared of Saber.

 

Oooh, a kimono for Sprout. That'll be tricky, but I'm sure when you find it, it'll be gorgeous.

 

I have something in the works right now but I'm not sure exactly how it will turn out. An extremely nice person here on the forums is doing something for us so that Sprout doesn't have to be the only girl without a kimono. If it works out like I think it will, her kimono is going to be gorgeous.

Thank you! Saber and Reiko are indeed fun to see together. I think having lambs hidden in a kimono would be too sweet! But I think Sprout is a bit more traditional with her outfits so maybe a more reserved look is more to her style. But I think maybe she will have some flowers of some type on it in pink.... she likes light pinks and flowers so that may work out well on her.

Did you know that the long sleeved kimono is only worn by young, unmarried women? It's called a furisode, which means 'swinging sleeves.'

And when you're wearing a kimono, it's meant to show off the back of your neck. It was really sexy in the periods kimono were in fashion.

Love all the kimonos your girls have, makes me wish I had more than just the one ultra short one. Although in another respect, I seem to do better with getting my hands on things like fancy underwear and crazy huge boots and shoes. It's a good thing my girls seem to prefer stuff like that, as kimonos tend to be expensive.
