Saber Extra's wig....How to put on?

Hello all! I just got my first daughter in the mail today and I was so super excited!

But the excitement started to give way to frustration as I started to dress her and change her feet. Finally she is almost complete! But I am having the hardest time trying to put her wig on. I've been at it for almost 40 mins and I still can't get it. I've messed the wig up a bit and I'm scared that I will damage it even worse. Could someone please give me advise or tips about how to properly put the wig on? Any tools that would help me?

 

I've looked at Wolfheinrich's post when he got his Sabers, but nothing...I still can't get it on.

I heard of others having this problem too but mine was no trouble at all. All I did was put the back of the wig on her head first and pull gently from the front down towards her face. It slipped right into place with no problem.

 

Not sure if you've tried that but it worked well for me.

Thank you very much Billy. Her wig fits awesome in the back now. All I have to do from here is gently pull down on the front like you said. But since I have homework to do and work in the morning I'll continue tomorrow.

 

I'm curious, when you say pull in the front, did you pull where the hair from her bangs comes out at? or right at the sides where they meet with the hair that gets pulled into the bun?

When I say pull from the front, I mean the part of the wig cap that the hair in front is attached to and not her actual bangs. All I did was put the back of the wig about where it should sit on the back of her head and then pull gently on the front of the wig cap and it slid right onto her head. I had to adjust it a bit form side to side but that was also easy enuff to do.

 

DO NOT pull or tug on her hair braid. That part is VERY brittle and can break easily so I wouldn't mess with it at all if you can avoid it. If you break it, Volks will NOT replace it for you. It's bad enuff that you should have had a little note taped to her box with a little drawing saying to be super careful when putting on the wig....
