mitsuki Posted September 17, 2012 The hip joint can come apart. I have heard one person describe it as coming to the point of either the human pulling breaks something on themselves or the hip joint gives in and the leg comes off. I agree that it is hard to get it to come off. Heating it with a hair dryer helps.

edwardsgoldeneyes Posted October 2, 2012 OK, I did it. But it was so scary. I almost thought that I broke something. My hands are still shaking. But my Nyoko is finally allright. Smart doll Ebony
baldylox Posted October 2, 2012 OK, I did it. But it was so scary. I almost thought that I broke something. My hands are still shaking. But my Nyoko is finally allright. That's good to hear! So far, I haven't taken off any of my girls upper legs and I'm still kinda scared to do so. I had a heck of a time doing the DDII elbow hidden joints on mine, so much so that I had to get a heatgun and warm them up in order to get those to pop out for me. And before then, I was pulling so hard I really thought I was going to break an arm off of them! So I know what you mean about this scaring you. I'm glad she's all better tho. Billy I gave up counting the girls I own, they keep multiplying and won't stop.

Billy I enjoy that you were so nervous about your DD's hidden joints that you needed to use your heatgun. I'm the official "joint popper" of our DD meetup group, so I'll usually just do it at our meets - and I know for a fact that you are a lot strong than I am! baldylox Posted November 1, 2012 I enjoy that you were so nervous about your DD's hidden joints that you needed to use your heatgun. I'm the official "joint popper" of our DD meetup group, so I'll usually just do it at our meets - and I know for a fact that you are a lot strong than I am! XD At first I was nervous but after talking to Mitsuki and a few others, they ALL said it should be easy to do and I had no clue why it was not going easy for me. I was seriously pulling on those arms as hard as I could and nothing was happening! What finally tipped it off for any DD's I did afterwards wasn't how hard I was pulling but what DIRECTION I was pulling. I had been trying to tug those things straight out of the upper arms without moving them around much. But I found out that if you twist them or wiggle them up and down or side to side WHILE PULLING, it made things a whole heck of a lot easier. Now I can do them without having to use a heatgun at all. But yeah, the first few I did really did scare me because I didn't want to break them due to the fact you can't get replacement arms by themselves for the DDII like you can for the DD3.
