Matching faceup to eyes?

I think I can paint a faceup to go with a certain wig by matching the eyebrow and eyelash color to the wig color. But what about eyes? How can I pick faceup colors to match a certain pair of eyes I want to use?

Well, when you put on make-up you usually do that with eyeshadow, and that works the same with dolls.

So for example my girl as blue eyes, so she got a subtle blue eyeshadow on the eyelid
