I'd love to get a copy, but the shipping and customs from Volks wouldn't be worth it to Canada. They always get me on the customs!

For those of you who have the 1st version of the book, what did they include in the book? Any useful information rather than nice pictures?

 

I guess the biggest selling point is the pre-order for DDH-07, but it may not happen here

 

Of course, you don't have to wait since Volks Japan is selling them now and you may get it a little bit cheaper without shipping.

Haha, I just got the same reply. But that's great. At least they'll be offering the head.

It's mostly pictures, but there's a few templates for making DD things. Such as a DD Fanbook 2, an icecream cone, etc.

 

You can guarantee a head 07 if you buy it through the GO SakuraSylph is doing (because Japan is doing it as a pre-order, not a lottery). VolksUSA will probably get a very limited number, like they did for the 06. It's up to you!

What is this Dollfie Dream Compilation book about? Similar with the Fan Book?

I so want this book to add to my collection of other Doll books XD. But I will have to pass on this pre-order sadly since I cant justify the shipping price for just a book. I think when I went to buy the fan book my total ended up being twice the price of the book lol. Guess I will be camping the Volks store for other goodies that will be restocked later or added to the store so I can add to purchase hehe.

What is this Dollfie Dream Compilation book about? Similar with the Fan Book?

 

 

I guess you could say it's similar but not really. The Compilaton book has photos and stats for EVERY DD made up thru the time that book was made. The newest character girls listed in it were Marissa and Reimu from Touhou.

 

It's all in Japanese as are all these type books but the pics in this one of all the older DD girls make it a must have for any collector.

And they double checked the entries against the accounts that purchased the books to make sure only those people participated (in case the URL was leaked). But I think if you bought the book from Volks Japan, and could show proof, they let you enter/order.

For the Japanese side, there is a little proof-of-purchase corner that you need to snip off of the back interior flap of the dust jacket. That has to be attached to your VS Member paper order form for your order to be accepted.

 

Volks USA might accept something similar if you G.O. books, but it'd be wise to confirm that first!

With the most recent wig lottery they said you had to have purchased the magazine and they'd check against people's addresses. When I got the magazine there was a little sticker on the wrapping saying that buying it allowed you to enter the lottery. If I remember correctly (but I can't check because I threw the wrapper out) there wasn't a url to the site, I'd found them on volksusa before the magazine was available.

I think it is safe to assume this is only for the prepainted heads. I only say this cause they did that last time for 06. The blank heads didn't pop up till later.

Oh man, I must have been lucky to get this book then. But yeah, mostly just pics of some of the girls, Saber Extra, Alter 2, and some magical school uniforms. Has some templates to make the book but doll size and ice cream cups, even has lessons on how to make your own "ice cream". Also comes with a photo with girls showing off magical schoolgirl uniforms. Awesome book to any DD book collection

I didn't hear of anyone who entered for pre-painted DD-06 and did not get one. Not that it didn't happen, but there wasn't the same wailing and gnashing of teeth as with the usual lottery events, so the odds must have been favorable.

Does anyone know the US price for the prepainted head? I have the unpainted head preordered from a GO on DoA, but only b/c the prepainted head was a little too rich for my blood b/c of yen=dollar/fees.

 

Also, when are you going to have to submit that ticket by? I want the book but just buying the book alone the shipping is bleeping 13 dollars... (I hate hate hate UPS lol)

The prepainted is $121 and the blank is $53. Both are currently being offered as a lottery purchase. The deadline for submitting is November 18th.
