Louise and the Familiar of Zero

Louise Françoise Le Blanc de la Vallière attends a magic school. She's not very good at magic, and while everyone else summons giant fire-breathing salamanders, big moles, or even a mighty dragon as their familiars, Louise summons a Japanese boy.

 

It's a fun little fantasy adventure/romance comedy show, although only the first season saw DVD release in the States. It also stars Rie Kugimiya as Louise, a seiyu known for her tsundere roles (Shana, Toradora's Taiga, Marimite's Touko). Speaking of Shana, Louise does a great cosplay of the Flame-Haired, Blazing-Eyed Hunter, if you can dig up that Azone Shana costume.

 

And of course, MDD Louise is one of the most adorable Dollfies around! While she doesn't look very tsundere, I'd like to think it's because she doesn't have to put up with her classmates teasing her anymore. Speaking of those classmates, Tabitha, Seista and Kirche would be fun additions to a DD family. Kind of a shame Volks didn't follow up with any of them, or at least a DDII/DDdy sized school uniform.

A Japanese boy as a familiar eh? Hmm, I guess I should be glad that the Fate girls don't use familiars. That could be awkward. XD

I loved this anime. Louise was such a great character in it. And I also liked how they mixed her worlds legends with our own worlds weapons and items. I laughed so much when I found out about the "dragon" and it's "blood". Too funny. But I want a "Wand of Destruction" as well..... reminds me of Army of Darkness..... "And THIS is my BOOMSTICK!"

 

And I also love the Louise MDD, she's about as adorable as they come! Anytime I see pics of one posted I wind up grinning ear to ear.

It's a fun little show! I'm hoping someone picks up the 2nd and 3rd seasons for US release. Louise is one of my favorite MDDs too!

im a very VERY big fan of Kugimiya Rie the voice actor of Louise in this anime. I love the anime as well. 4th season will be out coming season including the ending of another tsundere chara of hers Shana. When i first know about DD and i know about Louise MDD existence , i cant stop day dreaming having her to the family.

 

I vow i must HAVE her as Kotone-chan lil sister .

Ooh! Kugimiya Rie-san is also the voice of Alphonse Elric.

dont really like her voice in that anime and Gintama as Kagura. She is one of the veterans and carries many roles .. like the previous season animes Astarotte no Omocha and Dragon Crisis. And cant forget iDOLM@STER ! both game and the still running anime.

Rie K is one of my very favorites as well. Nagi from Hayate and Yuuki from Saki are 2 of my other fave roles for her, in line with Louise, Rose and Lotte.

 

One of DDs is named Nagi-Rose Astarotte and another is named Rie.
